A friend warned me about this tonight, because it happened to her.
People are placing items on the AH for sale for Yocash.
They will make events or come to you and ask you to buy let's say a Yocash hair off of AH for them.
They tell you they will pay you in coins for item...but you buy the hair and they delete you and run.
Keep in mind, this item of Yocash is usually one they have put on there to make Yocash.
You are left with the hair and they've made let's say 50 yocash or less or more.
And it's usually an item that you could never make your loss of yocash back.
It's a big scam and I feel a lot of you need to be warned, especially you less seasoned players.
Good luck and have fun :)

this is an old scam but always good to spread the word i guess, personally, i would NEVER do this unless the person paid in advance or was a friend

Easiest way to stop this scam from happening is to simply state that you're a YoCash dealer of in-store items only! :D

I still don't understand why people feel the need to be so dishonest? Thank you for this thread, warning other of such dishonesty. :geek:

Thank you!! One other girl and I both made a thread over the weekend too.
We both had the same thing happen, but did not fall for it.
I hope more ppl read the forums, and keep up to date!!!

I am glad I saw this warning. My friend and I were talking about making coins by selling YC items and she asked about buying for people from the AH. I was able to warn her about the scam because of these posts. Both of us have recently started playing again so the AH is new to us. People that don't cheat usually don't even think of the different ways they could be cheated in game.

idk if it's just me but does it not seem suspicious to you that someone would ask you to buy a random item out of the AH for yocash?

I went to one such event and the person pretended to be in a hurry and wanted to deal asap. I asked him if he wanted the yc to buy stuff for himself or if he wanted the item in ah and he said it was for the yc. I asked him to pay first but then he said he was having a bad headache and really wanted to get that item from ah so he could leave. The contraction was enough for me to poof

Not necessarily, especially if it is an item that is hard to find for coins..and has been placed on AH for Yocash. At least that's how I look at it. I think it's not always strange. I've seen like 08 items on AH for reasonable amounts of Yo at times.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't do auction house for others unless I know them personally.
