I Started playing Yoworld (previously Yoville) in 2009. As a teenager, I remember interacting with a community that was very thoughtful. People would drop you gifts just because they cared, people would get together in events and have a good laugh. It was a great escape from the real-world stress.

A few years later we lost that sense of community when everything became a business. People started cashing everything. It was all about money, cash and coins. Scammers were common and you couldn't even talk to people anymore. Terrible time for the community.

This year I came back to Yoworld thinking that the community might still be terrible but I was proven wrong. This year, specially this month, I felt that sense of a good community again. People going to events and checking in on others. I've been decorating some houses myself and people just keep on dropping gifts to help me. I know this might be a small thing for many but to me, it's amazing how people can be so selfless.

Some people might think it's silly of me to write this about a game but we struggle so much in our personal lives, a small act of kindness goes a long way and makes our day.

Just wanted to drop this here and thank the community for being the best as always. I hope I can give back as well

Happy Holidays :balloon:

I know Yo is full of good people. I seek them out. Kindness is not dead. Even in the face of all that is wrong with a few people, many others seek to find ways to be more than just the sum of our worst parts.

Life is hard. This game can be hard. People are broken. Yet through all of this, people hope. They care. They fight for good. They yearn for better. And they become bigger than the sum of their wants and needs. If all we have to share is our time, then sharing that time with openness and joy is the key to unlocking a better day. It's tough sometimes...because...people - eww. LOL But it is the path out of our own prison.....

That is wonderful to read, I live a very cloistered YO life when In game….because there is such a thing as an extroverted introvert LOL.—— I’m glad that you are having a good time

Such a wonderful thread, and so relatable! So glad that I came back to YoWorld. The game meant a lot to me in my younger years, and really kept me busy when I was going through tough times irl. Such a nice place to escape too. I don't need to use it as an escape from life anymore, but it's so nostalgic. I have been able to meet many kind people as well.

I enjoyed meeting you in game the other day. (I gave you a romantic window). Next time I'll have to hang out for a bit and annoy you. :haha:
