Sooo... I spent the last two nights in a drug induced state after having surgery. I won't go into the details of how I was in a semi lucid state talking during the surgery as I do if they don't dose me up enough... about how I was seeing a pink (of all colours) Mario Brothers like hospital environment and one of my docs (a handsome ginger male) was wearing pink bunny ears! I blame Yo and Easter madness.

To the Business...
Once I was completely awake, it got me thinking about extending this idea that is a part of a personal project I'm working on with the hubby to the masses... I found myself wanting to redecorate Yo World commercial zone!

Perhaps slowly over time... just as a sort of side project for the masses... we could revamp one place at a time. These would be PERFECT for the one week themes (as not all homes are good for that... but some are). So... let's say we start with Vinny's Diner and Yo In-house Designers come up with some fresh new exterior deco options in at least 3 colors and perhaps styles.. like signs with the business name, plants, at least 1 place to sit, 1 interactive object, 1 animated object, as well as interior stuff (a relevant interactive and a relevant animated item, revamped furniture maybe in two wildly different themes... like one updating what's already there and one more modern style).

Think of it. Some of us Yo Worlders want to have a few more commercial places in OUR own worlds. I'd love to do my own versions of each the places. And that's NOT the best part...

THEN... GET THIS.. people could enter their decorated interior and/or exterior Yo World commercial decorated place in a competition? Then... you guys would update those spaces. (Hey gotta give you something to do.)

Think of this more as a side project, as it would take time if done one at a time. But, it could be fun for players to have a vested interest in the game in this way. Just sayin'!

Thank you both. I agree Beatrice, that would be awesome... especially since I'm an animated and interactive junkie. It would make going to the hang out places to meet friends all the more meaningful and playful. I hope we can make it happen. In a way... it would be nice to see this done over a year and by next Yo World Anniversary, Yo would have a new look to go with the celebrations.

This surgery (foot) had been quite painful and put off for so long (due to Covid and not being life or death) that I welcomed the fever dreams. I'm taking it easy and not rushing things.

I would like them to also update floorplans for homes.

I really like this idea and was actually thinking about this not too long ago. But then again it’s also a bit nostalgic and reminds me of the old Yoville days

Yeah... I thought of that too. I know some would find it hard seeing things change. But, I think it can be done in a way that honours the old as well. I love being able to go in the places and sit, or to hang with friends and just chat. It doesn't have to be a complete overhaul. We can even have an image on the walls in some of the places to show what it used to look like. Or keep token objects in the room as a reminder. If you are familiar with the American TV show Frasier... I always loved that his dad had his beat up old recliner with duct tape on it sat in the middle of Frasier's fancy schmancy Chanel sofa-ed living room. I don't think anything could take away our old Yo memories really. It'll still be the same place, just perhaps with a slightly different vibe. And hey... we can make new memories with our friends too... as we reflect on the good times. I wasn't around for the Old YoVille days though, as I've only been playing for 5 years. But, I'm betting you have some really amazing memories in the Commercial Zone places. I sure do even now!

But, it's only an idea. And if done... this will be something to take under consideration.

While that would be another project altogether, that would be nice. But, it sounds like a major undertaking. I know some of the older homes are a bit lackluster without proper walls, floors and such... let alone the floor plans. Perhaps it's an idea you could share!
