I'd just come online as voting had ended yesterday, excited to check out my score.
A friend noticed me come on, and rushed over to congratulate me on my perfect score? :eh:
I was so confused, since I'd just saw my score was a very disapointing 4.9.
She was totally irate, insisting she'd just finished voting, with less than 5 mins left to go.
She was so excited to see she'd just just voted for someone she knew, and is insisting that
I had a perfect score at the time. :?:
Of course I was assuming she might be mistaken, so I changed into the outifit for her.
She is adament it was most definately my avi she'd just voted for, and swears up and down
that I had full stars when she clicked.
So yeah, how did I go from a perfect score to 4.9 in thos last 4-5 mins?
It's not the first time I've gotten a really low score, when I know for a fact I should have done
so much better.
Yet a few times I've gotten a perfect score, when I knew darn well I shouldn't have.
Wondering now... is the system broken, or is it somehow rigged?

A 4.9 can look like 5 stars

What appears to be 5 stars means anything from a 4.9 to a 5.8

Our stars include the boost
. so you could have 4.1 from raw votes plus your 0.8 boost, and that would give you a 4.9 and it basically looks like 5 stars. We cannot tell our score based on the stars.

If 2 outfits have a perfect score and they are up against each other.. one of them will leave having a less than perfect. The system takes away some voting score from the outfit not voted for.

If your outfit was put up against another outfit within those 4 - 5 minutes just 1 time and the player voted for the other outfit, your score will be decreased.

When voting, the player that gets a vote has their score increased, the other entry has the score decreased.

It's the system, it's not rigged.

Once you have the most votes you can get, every time it is shown after that, it's a 50/50 shot that you will lose that perfect score. If you happen to lose score because of that you have to hope it is shown again so you have the chance to get the vote back. But then also have to hope you get the vote and not another system down vote... wash, rinse, repeat.. the system is not kind.

What happens if two outfits are shown, but the person voting skips instead?

Back in the day when it started (2017? 2018?), it was my understanding that skipping gave BOTH outfits/rooms a down vote. When I came back to the game recently after recovering from a bad illness, folks said 'If you can't decide between two great ones, skip them, so nobody gets the down vote".

i believe it was Viking Jess who told us.

you're welcome!

and Zoe Maxine -- skipping does not affect either score. i can post a screenshot later of where it says it does not affect either score later, once we start voting.

Nothing happens when a players skips voting. It's like the outfits don't exist. I'm not sure how many times an outfit is shown across the player base or how many votes are needed to get a perfect score. If 10 votes are needed to get a perfect score, depending on how many times its shown the player may never be able to get a perfect score if it's been skipped.

Lots of players skip when voting, they are seeking certain entries. There are groups of players that share their entries with each other before the voting starts, then they all seek each other out and vote for each other. Even then it's hard for them to get a perfect score. Some players spend hours scouring the entries, skipping most of them.

Thank you for that explanation. A lot of times I see rooms with the minimum requirements just more or less tossed in. But then I'll get two rooms that both look amazing pitted against each other. Your explanation will really help me out!
