With today's ability to make coins...for NEW people...and today's prices for everything in the stores and in game, how would I be able to decorate an apartment? How would I be able to dress my Yo in anything but those original themes? I'm not talking about buying everything. I'm talking about buying the basics...decorating and clothing.
I think the economy is ok for those of us that have been in it for the long haul. For new players, REAL new players, the economy being ok...that's the fallacy.

And BVG has stated numerous time they intend to introduce new ways of making coins in the game, so until we see what that entails, it's difficult to say how new players might do.

Someone with 300m coins, just as an example, never needs to open their wallet again to buy anything they want. They can go and decide to give yc dealers 100k+ to 1 on anything they want because, lets face it, 2m gone from that total means absolutely nothing.
People with massive amounts of coin, or the ability to get to massive amounts of coin, is not isolated. Any person with massive amount of coin has no reason to spend their real money on this game anymore or at all other than if they feel like donating to help support BVG as they don't need it to help their gameplay.
Apparently some people don't view this as the economy being broken or being a problem though.

Which is why, at this rate, in a few years, a decent amount of coins would already have been purged from the game. Possibly...

LOL a couple of years in a game is a long time to wait around.

There is no cycle...and as long as folks are buying YC,which by the looks of the Supporter badges they are, Yo has a very bright future.

New players, normally don't have over 1m. So with that playing in, take a look at how it may affect the economy.

I agree that Yo could have a bright future.
I disagree...there IS a cycle whether you want to believe it...or not.

And you know what happens to those players?
They just never get any of the expensive items as those of us who have stupid amounts of coins just trade with each other and shuffle the wealth back and forth.
And they slowly but surely get disillusioned that a stupid unicorn costs more coins than they'll ever dream of having.

IF (and thats a big IF) they stick around to play longer than being a 1 week old inactive account.
There is a precedent in this game for people once they realize the effort required and the very little reward you get for that effort of blocking the game and not coming back to it.
I've done it with other games. I used to play Castleville and The Ville. I quite enjoyed both. Then the game play turned to a disgraceful amount of quests I had to forever annoy neighbors for and it stopped being fun and felt more like a job, and I stopped playing. Same with Yoville you'll never get new players that stick around if you make the game feel more like a job to them. And currently with the way the games economy is, thats exactly what new players are facing.

Well, if the average player no longer has over 1m in the future, there is a minority, that would. Would I sit around, waiting for one of them to buy my item, or would I want to sell it at a lower price, so that it can be sold quicker?
People may have to sell lower to make business, no matter if they like it, or of they don't. What if having over 5m coins, will no longer be as common as it is now?
