Hard to say. When Zynga did their re-releases they seemed to focus on the ones they originally advertised as 3 days only sales like burlesque and groovy etc. I guess this isnt any different, although I still say this was an honest mistake.

It was.. there's a thread stickied now saying they took them out. It was an honest mistake. :)

I just never was sure about Super Saturday, there were collectibles inside of the theme but then there were normal items!

And the poll sucks, lol. I dont think re-releases are overall great for the game, but they dont make me cry or anything either.

I loved Super Saturday! There was so many cool items and it was the first time we ever got to buy permanent hairs. I spent so much on yocash that day it's a wonder I didn't end up divorced :D

Things were done differently back then though. Its why I think the mafia collectibles got re-released. I think that was an honest mistake too, but back then collectibles were released as part of a theme. There was no separate part in the store for them then, like there is now.

I feel bad for those who spent a lot to get them, but it could have been a worse mistake I guess, and its really not the end of the world. Live and learn. They are new to this, I'm sure they'll be more careful next time.

I think they can be good not collectibles though as love new york walls for decorating was sad to see them go and grass pieces ,plants flowers from some themes would be great to be back for a time or hairs some of us can never afford a mil or more like 22 mil I have seen for a hair ,I understand can not get them but is difficult for players to ever make that much if playing fairly some some things I think would be great but collectables for sure not as would not be fair. :)

I think that if we are going to do re-releases then we start with all houses and just make them all permanently available since we cant sell them anyways, as far as the 08, collectibles and anniversary items i say no! as we all have had to spend huge amounts to obtain them even us players who started in 08. I think the 08 items should be some kind of prize you win at the casino instead of always coins. but not re-released.
I think they really should release all the un-released items that caused so much chaos in our last world and just let people buy them as there were a lot of cool ones that ppl bought at auctions then deleted them thinking they was gonna get banned and lost millions. there are some very cool themes that we all missed out on maybe if they did a vote on 09 and later once a month it would give us all a chance to get a bit of old mixed with a bit of new and just leave them available as not everyone has tons of money to buy all they need at one given time plus will boost the income for bvg and cause them to create more cool stuff for us. i really don't think it will hurt our yoconomy plus will give the new players coming in to enjoy our world a chance to get some of the older cool themes. sure we all wanna make millions so leave the old 08 & collectibles and anniversary items there for them to do that. its fun to make money in the game but its also just as fun to make great friends and help others learn the game and gain acceptance into our community as this is a escape away from real life for many their main world, so lets just enjoy and be thankful that we have bvg listening and taking care of us. they have done more in the short month than zygna did in 4 years imo have a great weekend every1 Peace.

I don't believe re-releases was the cause of the near demise of our game. It was because Zynga didn't care for whatever reason and let behind the scenes get out of control. Why on earth does anyone think releasing billions of coins into the game didn't mess with the economy? I am no economist but those coins now have to somehow lose their value if the rest of us have any hope of buying anything of worth that we missed or would like more of. I am sure Greg is much smarter than I am and I trust him to sort it out.

Also I have not been at highschool for over 30 years and I do not care one iota what is popular in the school yard. I don't care what hair or hat is the "thing". If a bunch of 14 year olds all want to dress the same they can keep it. They are the only ones who suffer by price-jacking. If I can't afford it I just don't have it.

I do look forward to a better programme of releases, like we used to have. Clothes on Tuesday and furniture on Thursday or whatever it was.

PS Greg can we have the big grass patches back in the store? :D

Because yo-poorer players feel hopeless to reach some items they want, so they try to pricejack what they already have, some try to raise their funds by scamming others because many items are soooo out of reach to many players that they see no other way that can take them to their goal items. And for the same reason yc rates go up up up and up. This will never stop unless they rerelease things. Just 8-9 months ago yc rates were around 10k to 1 but now.. i see even 30k to 1 dealers. Where is the end point or this yoinflation? If I was a new player right at the moment, considering that you literally can not get anything nice for less than 200k on sales, I would think wow there is no way I can make my way up on this game... so I would just leave.

I agree. If I were a new player I would not stay in the game. We all want to be Elite but the investment is just to high! So why do something where I can't be on top. One of the biggest reasons I stay now is because of the investment and I love collecting things.

There is only one reason people want things re-released and that is so they can buy them and sell them for high prices when the items are removed from the store. The items that Z re-released have prices close to what they were before the items were re-released. I don't support that. I also don't buy all the rationalizations people give for why things should be re-released.
Gary informed people that the release of limited edition pets was an error that would be fixed. The result of his announcement was that people posted their intent to run over and buy them - fully knowing an error had been made.

Honestly, I don't care if they re-release.
I buy my own YC and play this game at a leisurely pace. I don't buy/sell a lot so this doesn't bother me all that much.
When they had re-releases last year, I bought tons of stuff to decorate with. Those grass/dirt patches are a blessing when doing Halloween rooms! lol

I have always thought it a good idea to release the unreleased items. Get them out there legally in the market place.

I also agree with keeping all of the houses in the store. Why not?

I have a yocash card sitting here waiting for a new release, and old release or just a good cash sale. Let's go...!
