Taurus (185839344) wrote:anyone still here from back when we only got new stuff every 6-8 weeks and acutal themes didnt even exist? man, I miss those days, the anticipation was awesome. back when the social part was the main focus of the game. back when people had auctions with actual in store stuff and if they got half price, they were smiling. back when we laughed at the price jackers failing to succeed, before the price guide at the time helped them. scammers were almost unheard of and when they did scam, they were outted swiftly. I miss those "innocent" days of the game.

Im still here.

I'm an '08er and I'm addicted so I'm not going anywhere. The game will die with me still playing, I imagine.

It took about 3 months of factory runs, coin runs and maxing to afford a waitress dress.

The Forums were massive drama, avi pics stuck for months.

The Platinum Ninja hair was the best!

i dont think there was specials back in 09... yc didnt come out until early 09... i think we either just bought it or didnt

yes i'm here!! I took a long break (3 years ) and now i'm back but i'm not excited playing like before ..

Heyy Snorty!! I miss you, how have things been? See, I do miss the olden days, but I am also happy about the new YO because so many good people are still around.

From late november 2009 on it took me one month to save for the gothic home. Prior to that home I'd only bought a blue ruffled top and some low coin (by today's standards) skirt.

I love this! Remember saving and saving so I could have the little cape cod type home to decorate for Christmas.

I started in 09 and remember the days of waiting and waiting for the releases! I used to have a ton of friends I would hang out with and just had a great time now I have a full buddy list and dont know anyone on it ! Maybe for the New Year I will try to make some friends who actually like to chat and visit and go to sales!

Started in 2009 with no clue as to what I was doing but it challenged me to get it all figured out. I remember so many good times in the old days. The slower release of new items where we would stay up late with soooo much excitement for the new releases & I'd pay for it the next day at work lol. We could hardly stand waiting. Several of us would gather in a room waiting together & the forum was alive with ppl talking about what might be coming out, even sharing images of them waiting. I learned to buy cheap & sell for a little more to earn coins. I never sold for over what the going rate was for an item & usually a little less to give others a good deal like I received. I remember going to sales that were so cram packed with items & ppl you could hardly move for lack of space lol, there wasn't any lag either. Call me crazy but I loved sales like that. I remember the free gifts that changed with new themes or Holidays. The fun games that Z gave us. I remember all of the funny glitches that made us laugh. I remember going with friends to try all of the hidden spots in the community, inside or outside places that would allow us to go somewhere in that place we weren't able to normally go. I remember when I could finally buy a Koi pond. I was so excited!!! I remember when someone that bought a lot from me also stole a few of my good items & all of my coins. I was in game with a friend who went with me to meet up with her to sale something. We met up with her then she said that she had to do something & would be back. My friend & I were talking when suddenly I was disconnected. I couldn't log back into FB. I quickly managed to change my password although now I don't remember exactly how since it was so long ago but I did get back in which disconnected her from my acct. At 1st I didn't realize what had happened but then I noticed my cherished Koi pond was gone & a few other good items along with all of my coins. I contacted Z & although it took a few mos., they returned all of my missing items & all of my coins. I was so thankful for their help!!! It was a sad lesson learned from it. I made new friends when I went to sales or had my own sales although I was more careful of whom I buddied up with. I made a lot of friends from the forum too. Some were YoAngels, some weren't but they were all dear friends. Now a lot of them are gone or like me, have lost interest so we've kind of lost touch too. Life in Yo was so much more fun, carefree, relaxing, social, & no stress. Now it's utter confusion & has left me with a lack of interest although I log in daily, send gifts, get gifts, post my hot dog, & do cr to respond to friends messages. Occasionally I might shop or decorate but the real excitement is gone. The excitement of I can't wait to get home from work & see what's going on in Yo is gone.

Yeah i think the pace is too quick now, the themes dont last long enough and the quality is lower I'd love for it to slow down! It's a win win for everyone

I'd love for it to slow down a bit also. I've written that on every single evaluation, after each theme. It falls on deaf ears apparently.

Yes, and have been looking for some old friends after we lost our myspace account. JoJo always wore Ninja costume, Rawdog always wore pimp costume, Bix something always wore mafia stuff, Jack always wore a bunny costume. If anyone knows them or if they are here, I have been looking for you for a really long time.
