I think this depends on the definition of "collectible". Zynga didn't release items that THEY categorized as collectibles...placed in the collectibles tab in the stores.
Mafia Henchman and Mafia Wall Safe were the collectibles in the collectible tab in store and yes Zynga did rerelease them.

Even if they are aware that there is a release, people from outside america should not have to stay up all night to buy an item. The item should be in store for an amount of time that all people no matter their time zone is able to buy that item.

Why bring location into it? That's like bringing "rich vs poor" into the mix. The company dictates when releases occur....just as BVG will. Many people all over the world have differing schedules. Some are online during the wee hours while others can only be online in the afternoon. If you don't like the timing of releases according to your schedule and/or time zone then contact BVG. Maybe they'll be open to having a rotating schedule to accommodate.

Does it matter what Zynga did? Are you people going to tell Big V they have to do what Zynga did?

That there is no justice and fairness is whats wrong with the world. Justice favors the rich as evidenced by the affluenza boy. Life is more fair if you are rich.

Let's all not forget that Zynga is no longer part of the equation. They gave up on us, they sold their game. It's BVG's game now so whatever Zynga said or did in the past does no longer applies.

injustices .. yes, they happen.. but, to pay for that.. no!.. you think that the thinking "play the way we say or don't play at all" is a good way to think? .. I can save my money and do other things, you are right.. does BVG think that ppl that want a fair a even playing field should pay real money, only to be told.. don't like it, leave??

ok, so then we just play with coins.. I have enough to last .. don't buy yocash you say?? find another game to spend my money on.. and just play out this as it is played out? hmmm.. food for thought

I stated that Zynga always gave notice of short time releases..ergo...fair chance to buy! In the case of the cross, it was removed before mostly anyone had a chance to buy it. It was an accidental release, removed due to Zynga religious policy and therefore should be released back into the game if BVG have no objections to releasing items into the game of a religious nature. Given that the cross is still in game, I believe they have no objection at all.
I was merely reiterating the words of Gary and Viking John about what constitutes a fair chance of buying an item.

It wasn't an accidental release....it was released with a regular release of items. How did players not know? You were reiterating your interpretation of what Gary and Viking John stated. You believe the cross was an "accidental" release. I believe it was released and then removed because of complaints. That doesn't make it accidental at all.

All I'm saying is that at the very least an item should be in store for 24 hours to cater for people worldwide. Location is important as people from all over the world play and their location is a factor. I am talking about time zones with regard to past releases like the one that included the celtic cross. I am sure bvg is reading all this and will take into account what they have learned from our discussions.

I have missed so much in this game...I might of been sleeping or working or whatnot but I don't expect them to release what I missed when I missed it. That's just not the way things work. I totally agree with you Kenzie and I don't see why others don't get it. Not everyone's going to get everything. My gosh. I not once got a short time release when it came out except the cat clock which someone said was in stores for a week but for the items I missed I did not complain. If I wanted it I bought it.

The debate here is not what Zynga did in the past, it's what Gary said in his interview with Yorehab and the subsequent interpretation of what he said. :)

I don't understand how some of you are able to distinguish certain items as accidental release, or official releases. One of the Vikings just stated that the accidental releases have the possibility of being released. I guess we could not have a few examples of accidentally released items, so that leaves it free for people to speculate. My point is, none of us know if certain releases were accidental or official. So in the end, we will have to wait and see.

I also do not understand the difference between an accidental or official release. The only thing that is clearly not going to be put back into the game is what I have bolded. Even the phrase all the other valuable items is vague. What one person considers valuable another person may not. It's subjective.
All of your 08 and 09 costumes, retro specks, and all the other valuable items that have been released before are not going to be re-released.

Of course, there is a difference between the two, but here is what I mean.

"I don't think this item was an accidental release, looked official to me, so it is not being re-released."

And..

"This item was obviously accidentally released, that must mean its going to be re-released."

How can people possibly say this when no one really knows the truth? So what if items lasted longer then a few hours in stores? What if it took Zynga more than a few hours to realize that they accidentally released it? Take a look at Gary's pants, they were accidental, yet they were in stores for a full weekend, does that mean they were official? No, the developers themselves said it was accidental! This is why I say, if it was released for an alarmingly short time, then it could fall into any of the two categories, since Zynga themselves never tagged the items as accidental/official.

So once again, no one knows, we will have to wait and see. This is one of the reasons I asked Viking John for a few examples of accidentally released items.

Zynga released the cross into the game breaking their own TOS in regards to the ban on all things political and religious. I call that accidental on Zynga's behalf.
