The game need to make a drastic change. BVG has done an awesome job making huge changes that is in turn keeping the faith of the costumers. They are making it a safer game. However, in order get the game moving even further in the right direction, Greg may need to look back at what made the game so successful during its peak time. I am sure he has and is working on it, because he has already made this game 100's of times better that what it was. I am seriously thinking about putting together all of these threads, and asking him to keep and open mind while reading them. Then make a final decision now that there is actually a defense for why the themes should be reopened. If he decides to stay with his previous statement, then at lease remove the pictures from the store, so people don't have to look at them anymore.

They should have never been closed in the first place. Zynga messed themselves up by doing it. They tried to just do fast yocash sells. Yes they may have made some fast yocash sells but guess what I'm sure over time they would have surpassed what they made by closing the themes. Zynga was purposely running the game into the ground and just became money hungry. They lost sight in how to keep their customers happy which in turn made it where a lot of paying customers left the game or just stop buy yocash. I spent around $600 on this game by the end 2010. I quit buying stuff after I was hacked and zynga did little to help me (myspace hack). I told myself that I wouldn't spend that kind of money with that company any more. Since December I have spent about $10. Only because their haven't been any themes other than luxury that I was interested in.
are you kidding??? people were belly aching because they wanted new stuff.. and boy oh boy were they happy to see all that pulled from the store!!! .. the ones in it for 'business'.. BOUGHT TONS.. the rest didn't...
but don't think was big bad zynga the mean kid on the block that was soooo bad lol... us players were happy to see those themes go... back then we could not even lay down on a bed...

It would generate income for them, give them time to work on the new items and give players something extra to decorate with while we're waiting. I don't see a problem if it is just the closed themes in store, most are fairly recent themes. I think that a theme should only be re-released once though for a set period of time, say 2 weeks, and if it has already been re-released by Zynga it shouldn't be released again.
I missed many of these due to illness so I don't agree that everyone had a fair chance to get these items as some were released for such a short time and they are hard to find in game. I am getting so fed up of trawling round sale after sale and seeing the same old things or wasting precious Yo time hosting events to find just 1 item I need to finish a room. Not a rare or collectible item, just something ordinary and everyday like a particular bed or a table.
I don't think Collectibles should ever be re-released else they wouldn't be collectibles or the very early themes but everything else is just stuff. It's not rare or special but it would fill a gap for those of us who like to spend our time decorating and I'm pretty sure it would increase Yo Cash sales for BVG. Clothing and accessories see to be the items that gain most in value so there is probably no need to re-release these as there seem to be plenty from every theme already in the game, so people will still have valuable items from those themes to sell but the people who decorate need to have something too to keep an interest in the game.

Greed can go both ways.
Those who don't want re-releases to "protect their pixel wealth" are greedy.
Those who want re-releases because they want it all handed to them on a silver platter without putting effort into it like other players are also greedy.
