Shhh, I would too!

These two quotes speak 100% to my point on item selection for the pricing.

Thank you :)

I don't think they understand how putting things on timers pressures people into buying, they still have lots to learn.

Yup, they've gotta make money somehow.

If they choose to release more unreleased like celtic cross for example, I think thats what they should do. Its an item lots of people want, and if its put for a limited time, itll sure get them some $$$$$$

The Celtic Cross was released in 2009 during the St. Patricks furniture release, and was placed on a 20minute timer shortly after it's release.

If their goal is to bleed coins out of the economy, which I believe it is...put the Celtic Crosses in store for 24 hours with a 5m coin price tag. Watch some fun happen on that day with people who are under 5m trying to sell anything and everything to get there or buy and deal yocash to get there.

Controversy creates cash.

^ True that now that I would pay 100yc to get

They would make a FORTUNE on the Celtic Cross. Just sayin'

Timers are a must. They should actually close some old themes with timers, they could make some money there as well. Not certain who they are asking or listening to, but heck! I bought the handheld cat today which was a good moment for me. Ready for more! Bring on your wares.

Look at the Average sale price on the red Helicopter in AH it is Only like 600k And people have held on to these for years. Not sure where people think the red ones were selling for Millions and millions. lol These will drop in price just like the others did. Yep i agree a better item would have done Better.I still wouldn't have payed a million coins for that cat. lol

Samberg (185737325) wrote:Since there are so many threads upset with the pricing of the helicopters, I figured a thread the opposite way would be good. :)

Brilliant pricing strategy...100yc/1m coins...bring in some revenue/bleed out some of the excessive coins among the player base.

HOWEVER

Wrong item to try it with
. The 100yc helicopter Z released was a huge flop. These helicopters won't be any different, plus they never expire so even more of a flop.

Now if you either put them on a timer, it might have helped but not completely because of the item OR if you put the 1m/100yc pricetag on a better item it would have helped.

If you made that handheld cat 1m coins, people would have bought it up. Likewise if you made the bug hairs 1m/100yc the same would have happened.

Even better if the items were on timers as short releases as people would buy multiples in hopes it ended up being the next 30m item to sell.

So some words for the wise on the pricing strategy...1m coin/100yc items are good when used in conjunction with timers and on the proper items. 1m coin/100yc helicopters that never expire? Not a good plan.

Learn from this. :)

I have to agree with this.

I bought quite a few of these red helicopters @ 100yc, so getting the players to part with such cash is not the problem - HOWEVER I am not inclined to do so now as I don't know when the items will be expiring if indeed they ever do ... so timers are an essential requirement for any high cost item to fly out the stores. Hence the world of collectibles!

These helis were unreleased but they were never the most wanted of the list. They were rare and that's true but still, most people just liked the wow factor which was that nobody had them... now the wow factor is their price. Plenty of items that are unreleased are wanted so I don't know why they chose that one as their big ticket item. All it has is a big size and pricetag, nothing interesting about them, in my opinion. I don't need to buy them, specially since they're being left in stores to rot for a while.

Yes, it is a brilliant move, purge the excess coins from the economy. This will bring forth a new economy, one that would suit all, that would benefit all.
