I thought it was a nod to those who don't celebrate Christmas, honestly., since it's generic winter gear and not religiously-themed.

Still could give decorated trees, snow people, snow theme outdoor items, frozen lakes, etc etc. None of the items I listed are religious themed. I want items I can actually use.

I remember years ago Jess said that it was a lot easier to do stuff attached to the avi's than decor. I suspect that in a cost saving measure that is why a good share of what we get now is a yober or other wearable as apposed to decor. Also likely why it seems we get less and less decor with every release. Not a good thing for decorators. :(

I love NPC's and wish they'd give us more. If there was one of me you bet I'd have 1 in almost very single room I decorated! lol

I'm right there with you Jem. If they didn't want to do Christmas gifts, they could have simply given winter trees, snow, winter decorating trinkets, bushes, pictures, etc, things we actually would use. I think clothing items are not the best idea as if they give a female piece of clothing, it excludes the guys & vice versa. I also wonder about the color choices they choose...

No, not good at all, especially considering this is a DECORATING game. And they wonder why enthusiasm is diminishing. But hey, I learned a long time ago that you can tell someone not to touch that hot stove just so many times before you just need to let them touch that hot stove. We (not meaning any specific person by using "we", just meaning a large number of players & posts ) have been trying to tell them for years, yet still they keep trying to touch the stove.

Yes, can there be somethings we can use almost year around. Some of us don't participate in manmade rooted holy things, so us that don't miss out. I read too much about the history on holidays ;) So I won't ever use most Items designed with any p*gan origin just saying (encyclopedia). I sell most Items.

I have gifted most of those NPC's to the players depicting them, and I hope they enjoy. I feel it's not fair to all the other players in game to just keep choosing the same ones over and over.
And about those GEM gifts well not a fan of them so I will be selling or gifting.

wow, there is a lot to unpack….first, you should make sure to do a help ticket - so BVG is aware that you feel there is a lack of decor that you can use.

You are aware that almost all of our culture in the west is Pagan right? - everything has it’s bases, Christmas is actual the solstice feast >>> so it’s almost impossible to do the holidays without trees and wreaths; feast days and gifts.

as for NPC’s, and the never ending advice about taking part —— I tell you, in all honesty, I am a difficult human on most days. I often feel like I have the flu and the last couple of months I have been almost bed bound with not only a fracture but part of my bone just decided to take a hike (only me, right?) - I did my part, i lost almost 50 pounds and stayed off my leg. Yippee, :) — YOworld and their contests just keep me busy. I post and take part in things to simply stay busy and stay connected. (Even ask my grandchildren how dorky things are that I make, so far I havent passed the dorky stage yet LOL — when I do with any luck you might see it lol) I dont donate money or ask for special favors; If i’m selected it’s purely to my knowledge just dumb luck, Im not buddies with any vikings and typically try to avoid viking detection for the most part LOL - discord rumors have it that Glenn is Grumpy but I dont believe it LOL I think he is just busy.

So if you want to be selected the very very best way to do so is to take part in every thing that offers you a chance to show off your skills. And be yourself - I cant stress enough that the best part of Yoworld is there are so few rules, it can be anything you wish !

No falsity on my part all anyone has to do is read history that simply. My right to freedom of speech, nor am I angry or trying to be funny just conversating.

Sorry but I don't see how my statement was incorrect. Whether they include every other aspect of the game in the description or not, multiple times a month we are offered housing of some sort along with items to decorate. Multiple times a month we have challenges that involve decorating, hence it IS a decorating game. It can be more than 1 thing.

Hey Sw33tCandy NF2G, :bye:

My Apologies if you thought I was referring to anything in your posting..

However, I made no reference to your personal opinion or especially in anyway shape or form to a restriction of your personal "free speech" (nor Lynns) so I'm not sure why you would think I was, in post directed to Lynn, in even more so that her statement, I highlighted in quotation, in that, you concluding, I was referring to you personally, that might be a question for to ask yourself before needing to make such statement thereof to me in haste...

I'm not either trying to be argumentative or even authoritive to either of you, but more so pointing out the game factually overall & now in this "foruming" again factually as well...

In relation to point & in that, yours of "history showing", I also note, regardless of anyone's personal perspective of the game, history, will still always show, it's a game of yes & thankfully so, landscape design/decoration but also & very easily debated as I have shown, firstly & foremostly one of individual character creation & interaction with others if Yo so choose to, that is, over a type of Yolitude in game play preference (shrug)

I want everybody to enjoy the part of the game they individually play for, but more so without having to put down other parts implemented (item or feature) in a personal prioritive way that many others just might for their own individual personal reasons in their personal prioritive way... especially gift ones... :dizzy:

Sigh.........Full circle, original point being......... again, every item has its place regardless of individual personal preference of purpose

For eg, my personal opinion of the old bow is one of the LAMEST items historically for value & quality item release, but in that more so to its "accumulated game status" its perceived by so many to give, is ridiculously LAME in the most low IQ yobecilic of ways, but still would never see the need to remove, complain about or prioritze another part of the platform over it...

Every item & feature essentially, are just a part of what we are lucky enough to have to create & "play" with how we each love to individually....

I'd hope we could at least agree in that, from a more logically (inclusively a game for all) & a game longevity inspired summarised conclusion, the above statement rings true first & foremostly in relation to free item releases in retrospect... :)

Happy Yoing regardless matey....

No need to apologise so hastily Lynn, maybe it's me who should?

 lets assess & evaluate....

To do & conclude, I have to ask though...

Was I Incorrect in you prioritising it as such & in such an emotionally articulated way (caps) as to anybody realistically would or could conclude its the MAIN feature of game for all perspective?

That so enough to warrant complaining about free clothing items others may find purposeful or even yotastic ?

If it was, then it is I that owe you the apology & yours should only be that of nothing but mistake in articulation, easily noncomprehendable for others due to its wording & I of course & very humbly so do as such  :)

If so however then yes (shrugs), you were incorrect, for as you even stated right at the end yourself, not only can it be more than 1 thing, but I put it to you as absolute fact, (& as I quoted originally in designed game spiel) it is a multitude of individually different things to, albeit a depleting somewhat spiraling "tude" of individually different people...

To further your point of "monthly releases" it's definitely of note as well, we also, as with what this very post is about, get clothing items regularly, hence again for observational confirmation, it IS unequivocally both & more :)

Either way in conclusion, its fair to say, to balance the game in anyway favour of either (character or landscape) & or to use one to debate the other in a type of "overall importance" or in that, demonstrate superiority of argument would be of certain overall detriment to the platform & its patrons, I'm sure we could at least agree on that

I'm going to respond as someone who has three avatars in the store (and one more under my original discord name), and a few more in slots and gem events, so bear with me.

I am no one's – literally no one but my momma's – favorite anything.

I just enter contests like crazy because it gives me something to do between releases.

I've been playing since 2008. I didn't participate on these forums until much later, when I came looking for answers about something going on in-game. and I stayed because I like talking about what is going on in the game and seeing the beautiful creations that are posted here.

I do not socialize AT ALL in-game with anyone except my momma and a few RL friends.

I am no one's favorite.

I don't go to the Viking parties – I don't go to any events because I have social anxiety and live events where you are expected to chat feel just like RL events where that is concerned.

So, when I see complaints that BVG just keeps choosing favorites and the same people over and over, I get a little annoyed, Because I know that I am unlikely to be the one you are talking about, but they have still chosen a few of my little dress-ups to be NPCs in-game. And I have to suspect it is the same for others who have NPCs in-game: they just enter contests a lot, and their avatars fit the narrative that BVG is going for in that theme.

So.. I guess if you want to see yourself as an NPC, enter all the avatar contests. And if you don't like NPCs, don't buy them or sell the ones you win ...

(And I'll admit that I'm a wee bit into my cups, which is probably why I'm going to actually post this rather than just backspacing and going to decorate a room... but sometimes these things get to me.)

Not really looking to be an NPC in game, was just saying seems the ones we see are repetitive. And don't want to be gifted rather have something else, why would I want one of a player that dislikes me, lol. I entered once and honestly thought no more about doing it, I guess I must have been bored, lol.

I have gifted the ones I received to their titled named gladly (I could have sold but...) and hope they enjoy them.

Totally agree they're so repetitive as well, the same ones over and over again
at least one has 11 NPC's in game
and those you can't hardly give them away no one wants em in AH just shows how "popular" they really are :haha:
yet a Miss T NPC goes for millions

I'm going to respond as someone who has three avatars in the store (and one more under my original discord name), and a few more in slots and gem events, so bear with me.

i find avatar contests useless and so unfair ,always same names same names same names did i say same names ? yes there are some certain ppl got more then 1 npc with their names ,even if those dont win a yc prize they show up in the game again ,,when i check entries tons of good ones but they never get a chance also i know that they will never pick mine but joining for fun :haha: :haha:
