Though I would say that I think BVG didn't mean any harm. They must have thought that this would benefit the majority. By majority, I mean, those who doesn't have the unreleased items. We all know that BVG is a company that sympathizes with every passionate player. They must have thought that releasing these items would bring joy to the newer players. I mean, millions of coins is not easy to be earned.

I see your point, but withholding some of the items in question was evidently detrimental to Z and potentially if not already detrimental to BVG, too. This to me seems like 1 step in the big clean-up act. If they continued to follow in the footsteps of zynga when it comes to keeping the unreleased items as unreleased, it would continue to stir the inspiration to cheat. Granted there will always be cheaters out there finding a new rope, but still. I honestly feel like its a step in the right direction...

Also you gotta realize those coughing up an arm and a leg for the items were taking a big risk on an item that hasn't yet been properly confronted in some way. Until now. So. . . .

I made coins on these items in the AH today so I am happy. Who cares what other ppl have? Now the economy can get back in check. People will lower the price on the older items they are selling as well. Besides it's done. So is life.

Even though they said they will not do re releases, I hope 08s drop so I can stock up on some to resell later LOL!

Omg you can never make anyone happy! At least some of the "FG" can actually be called "legit", KARMAI always pays off! Slept like a baby though, very happy with my legit purchases!

Nope! They can't please all but they can please the majority and do what will benefit them at the same time. They took a good step.

Janis Joplin (111036364) wrote:well said, as always, mr. rain. didn't those who owned these unreleased and hacked items in old yo realize they were breaking the tos?

Well I'd stop short of saying they were knowingly breaking TOS. As I said earlier, I myself once bought a Menorah Hat and resold it, but I was under the impression it was a short time release and legit (the debate on this one is ongoing). I'm sure many who bought these items were also under the impression that they may have been legit at one time, with the possible exception of a few of them that I think we can all agree everyone knew were never officially released (like the crown). But that's beside the point even, because everyone knows that these things could have and might have been officially released at any time. The risk was taken. I don't necessarily think it's a TOS violation, I just think it was risky trading that the folks involved with would have realized could have, at any time, bit them in the butt. I've done a LOT of buying and selling over the years but always steered clear of these things for this very reason.

I wish that there was a list of what was unreleased and what was short termed, all the price guides lump them together, You heard different stories from different people. I to own a Celtic Cross that i purchased back in early 2009 for very little coin as it stands today, but i have no idea if it really is a short term release, or not. When i purchased it I had never even heard of Mods or hackers etc, so i thought it was totally legit, i had to buy yocash and sell items to get the coins to buy it, but i so wanted it for a theme i was doing. There are people out there who dont use the forums and dont honestly know what is what. If there was 2 list, one that said Unreleased, one that said Short term release, i would make sure i never purchased anything on the unreleased.

The events are overrun with people buying and selling these items and the forums are full of cry babies whining about their losses. Now I think you can see everyone has been happy with your updates til now but this has probably done pissed off much of the old players you are your main YoCash buyers. I'd advise not going farther and releasing the unreleased furniture too. Now i know you probably just found a file saying unreleased crap and you thought it would be a good idea to release these items thinking you'd be giving everyone what they wanted by having new items on the market. But Zynga goofed up and let of few of them out themselves. And you all probably did so without even knowing and not knowing the value of these items. The damage is done like another thread says but lets just make sure we will not be seeing the unreleased furniture coming out to. Anyway thank you for everything in the game so far but this last little mishap of an update.

Dude, where did you get the idea that you speak for anyone but yourself?

They didnt pay for it? Anyone who bought one second hand definitely paid for it. I sold a crap load of items that I paid a LOT of YoCash for in order to buy said unreleased item when we thought the game was closing. Yep, I knew the risk and I'm not complaining about it. But, you really need to think before you post.

Let's have the unreleased furniture, too!

I agree. Let's get it all for sale and see what the market says. People like me don't gives a rat's what the market thinks or says. I'll just wait for a new release or an old one. I don't really care.
