I haven't read every post but I've read a majority of them. Everyone falls in a different place on this subject.

Bottom line is Greg stated they will not re-release any of Zynga's items. So this discussion is pointless. The thing with the pets was a coding mistake. It's not like Greg was around when Zynga was making one day items. He doesn't know item A from Item B that isn't coded to show (special item).

As soon as it was brought to his attention, it was corrected. They are fixing the game. It's going to have rough spots and smooth ones.

As far as "spending money to get older items" why the frack would I want to spend $100 just to get a freaking virtual char that is worth 2-3mil or a couch? For $100 I'd rather buy a REAL item I can touch. Having the Yoconomy the way it is NOW is NOT encouraging me to play at all. An Elite Inset window (which I LOVE) is so far out of my reach I'd have to give up eating for weeks to be able to afford even ONE!!!

So why bother? Lots of older items costs millions and millions to the point of insanity. It's disgusting what this once fun game has come down to. I'm still here, a 09 player, but I rarely play like I used to. It's hard to decorate a room when you need items that are out of the stores and you have to play for MONTHS to get 1 or 2 items for that room. Houses have many rooms and almost all of mine are undecorated because I didn't want to wait 6 months to finish one lousy room. I'd be 80 before I finished them all!!!!

Pricejackers, scammers, greedy people and insane prices killed the game long ago. I'm glad it's still here, and BVG better find some way to stabilize the yoconomy in order to get new people to play. New players will see the prices of Zynga items and probably quit in disgust. I'm all for investing money in a game but not when it takes $200-$300 real dollars to buy 1 or 2 pixels. That's just stupidity. I'd much rather my REAL MONEY goes further in a game.

I'm not Bill Gates in my real life, I don't have a disposable fortune. I'll support a game but only if I get VALUE for my money.

2 month ago everyone on old forum said that they would give up everything, as long as someone save this game & we could continue playing this game, even if we had to start over ... what happen? If you were OK with giving up all this stuff then, why are you so oppose now to re-releasing? Everyone should be ecstatic that they saved the game, you were able to keep your stuff & that new people could get excited about this game.

I'm not sure where you got your everyone at! But I remember many saying that if they had to start all over they wouldn't. Many people play this game to collect. And thank god bvg understands that. They understand the collecting aspect of the game. They also understand how others like to decorate and whatnot. They're going to have new releases for everyone, so I'm sure everyone's going to be happy in the end. Or at least most. I guess you'll always have some that want things without having to spend money or to do anything to get it. I've been a player since 09. And I learned right away how to buy and sell. And I have spent tons of money to get where i'm at today. Why in the world should everyone else get it....just like that? And I hope everyone realizes that if they keep wanting the unreleased and short time released and all those items put back in game....I hope they realize if this were to happen..all 08's and any other rare item would more then likely sky rocket even more then they have now. Maybe that's why some want those items put back in game so that their items will sky rocket even more. Or maybe some aren't thinking about that.

You must be kidding... this game when I started in 09 was not about "COLLECTING" it was about socializing & decorating... there was NOTHING in this game that was worth hundreds of thousands coins, forget millions... I am sorry, but this line is a total nonsense "some that want things without having to spend money or to do anything to get it"--- where did you get that idea. Who said they are not willing to pay for it... Point is how much...
I did calculation in one of my posts before, but I will post it again, just for you
Everyone who keep telling new people buy YC or YOCOINS, that is how I got where I am..... GOOD advise, there is only one huge problem with it.
Right now in order to buy let say pink retros (avr. price now is what, 30 million coins) you will have to spend almost $8.580 real dollars... let see
You will have to buy 70.000 yocoins at $20.00, approximately 429 times in order to come up with 30 million yocoins.
That would translate to $8.580 REAL DOLLARS!!!!!!!---I am sure you did not spend $8.580 REAL DOLLARS on this game...
Or you may say buy YC, 660 for $100, wonderful idea, but in order to make 30 million ycoins, someone would have to charge someone also 46.000 to 1 rate...
I don't know about you, but I don't know anyone who can afford to pay this kind of rate.

This unsustainable rates & prices, what killed this game in a first place, why do you think people were jumping on buying coins illegally to begin with, where do you think this entire culture of yoville hackers came from?
Here is another nonsensical statement: "all 08's and any other rare item would more then likely sky rocket even more then they have now."--- Have you ever heard of supply and demand? If it's affordable & available why would anything "skyrocket" in price?
Original poster is correct, re- release those pixels and restore this game to what this GAME was originally intended for, socializing & decorating... everything else is secondary to it.
BTW, if they bring all the themes back & leave them in the store, BVG will still make money, because a lot of items in those themes were YC. People will have to buy YC in order to get them. And I am sure when BVG bring new themes they also will have items that would be in YC. And if some players don't want to buy YC themselves they will have to pay whatever rate YC seller ask for, without complaining. And let's all hope BVG does not make the same mistake zynga did, priced 95% of useful items in YC. :D

Hun I also started in 09...and collecting was a big thing back then also. My first item to get was the decorated tree. And because I spent real money and bought and sold pets. I got what I wanted...What are you saying? someone that comes in game first thing needs to have pink retros? That's not how it works. If you want things in this game you either spend real money plus learn to buy and sell or you just buy and sell. No one should come in this game and have it all at once. It takes time. I was lucky and got my retros when they came out....and there will always be new items that someday like retros that will increase in price. That's where people need to start. Buy thing when they first come out and hang onto them. You can't just walk in game and get what others have spent time, money and a lot of patience getting. As I said I was lucky and got my retros when they first came out but the other things I own I worked for by buying and selling. I didn't ask for them to come back in store just so I could have them. I'm sorry if you can't understand it takes time to get what you want. And if someones been playing for years and still haven't gotten what they want. Well that tells me they're not trying hard enough.

There is "working for it" and then there is insanity. I don't know about you but I don't want to spend every waking moment I'm not working my real life job in the game just to get one lousy window. It's frustrating. I guess some people here think that the minute things leave the store they should be up in the millions?

I can't afford right now to buy Yocash other than $20 every 2 or 3 months. What is that going to get me??? Tell me what $20 in Yocash will buy? Not much at all. I'd be lucky to get that dang bowl of strawberries. It won't get me any hairs, handhelds, or even any cute costumes as prices are so far above my financial status.

Which is why I have 0 passion right now. This game is sad. It's lost. It's impossible to do a room, let alone a house. I will NOT pour my money into a game where I get next to nothing for it. To me, it's like paying for a movie and having to leave after the first 5 minutes because you can't afford the full movie.

I understand what you're saying...some things do go up to fast. I mean for the ones that just like to socialize on the game. There's always going to be nice items out there. And with bvg I think they'll really blow us away with what they'll put out. I can't wait for their first release :)

Nope never said to spend real money on the game to get what you want right now. No one needs everything in game right now. If they do then they're playing the wrong game. I said if you want things in the game you need to spend real money and learn to buy and sell. If you can't do that then...there's plenty of stuff in stores that can be bought.

I'm really looking forward to BVG's first release. It's why I'm still here. I'm NOT here to support the yoconomy as it sits now. I will not buy or sell at the stupid prices we have going.

BVG better knock my socks off... I'm a decorator, not a socializer. I've been halted in decorating because of the pricing as it sits now. So that leaves little reason to play. We can't send SDB, or post nitros. We can collect hotdogs (yay!) but without nitro, I'm forced to collect coins every 5 hours. Coin runs are still broken. So that leaves little to no way to make coins without participating in the insane yoconomy which I will not do.

Well I think they'll knock our socks off with what they have...I'm a collector but I also love to socialize . And what I have is what I've spent real money on and worked at buying and selling. I've met some of my best friends on game by buying and selling. If people would just put the effort into it, they could see how much fun it really is. Yes it takes time and lots and lots of effort but in the end it's fun too.

I don't think you should feel that way. Honestly, I think BVG will be more fair when it comes to prices... and I think they'll be more fair when it comes to distributing Yocash items and Yocoin items equally. Look at the avenues they just put out! Surely Z would've charged YoCash for people to buy the cloud one. I think there will be plenty of coin items from now on... possibly hairs too. :)

I agree with this...seems like some aren't even giving bvg a chance to show what they've got. People are still asking for re-releases. I for one can't wait to see what bvg has in store for us.

The avenue release makes me hopeful. They were very fair. 3 for coins, 3 for YC, buy which ever ones you wanted. I got the 3 coins ones (for now) and I'm working on decorating them. One of the things I would do was try to get as many coins items as I could when Zynga would have close out sales. I could never afford much YC items, so my inventory is mostly deco items, very few chairs, windows, sofas (useful items). So that makes it hard for me to decorate anything. Zynga always made the most useful items YC and limited the decorators who couldn't buy YC on a weekly rate. The YC rate skyrocketed to the point of "forget it, I can't afford that" to where an 8 yc item (chair or what not) would cost 250k or more!!! Really???? So I gave up decorating, gave up hope and just logged in to work the factory.

I kept my account active in case things changed, but I didn't hold much hope. BVG better not follow Zynga's path of making every useful item YC and very little for coins. It would kill the last bit of hope I have left for this game.

I agree with you about Zynga... and the YoCash rate is definitely out of hand. I really do believe that BVG will be fair with what they put out... :) I bought the cloud avenue because I fell in love with it immediately. It's the only one I bought. :)

I'm very, very hopeful that BVG can do this game justice and I'm hoping that they do some coin-only themes, even if it's just once in awhile. And I hope they put out some cute accessories that are coins too... some hats and glasses and not just necklaces like Zynga used to.

I'm really excited to see what BVG has in store for us all. :)

I think that if they release more coin items, good items, then we can really move past this whole "re-release" fiasco. At least, for the most part.

I'm a collector. I don't like re-releases at all. I love buying and selling. I'm not a very social person -- I have a few friends in-game but not a lot. Decorating can be fun too but I rarely finish a house... not because I can't afford it but because I get bored easily. Buying, selling and collecting, to me, is the funnest aspect of the game. But for those who are decorators, I really do hope that they release some good coin items for them. :)

Yes, that is what I was thinking. Save Yoville was all about save my friends. Save my family. Please don't let the game end. Strangly when it was saved it turned into let me outclass, price jack and scam a noob. It gets old fast.

Entitlement.; it goes both ways.

Ya nailed that one right on the head, Godspeed..... ;)

Re releasing stuff never solves the problem. The problem is people are unwilling to give up the idea of unlimited power which they perceive as coming from owning everything "rare" there is.
It is an illusion, guys. You are not powerful because you own an old cupids bow. In fact,if you get yourself all duded up with turkey hat or Menorrah, cupid's bow, old bolt and some of the other "uniform" items like rets, I find you laughable. You are sheep. I have some 08 costumes. I have pink rets. I like the costumes because they are one piece and the rets because I never have to pick out eyes to wear. I do not consider myself powerful because of what I own.
Everytime something is re released, the prices get jacked.
I have a collection of 08 and 09Christmas items because that was the last time interesting balls and ornaments were issued in game and I like to decorate! The balls that came later were too large. The lights created too much glare.
We need to move on in the direction Big V is willing to take us. We need to find other ways to earn money and stop trying to fleece our fellow game players by trying to convince them the old stuff is better and they should take out a mortgage on their home in order to buy it. Everytime you buy something like the strawberries in a bowl for an outrageous price you are contributing to the false economy in this game; you are giving other people the power of deciding what is valuable.
