Yes, they do, but I would very happy for them bc it would generate a lot of money for them and I would rather have the game itself than worry about my "rares' becoming common again. Just sayin xD BTW ~ it wasn't too long ago some of the items were released in game and they're already shot up back in value in spades...it's bc of their popularity not bc of the economy either. IE Cupid Wings, Bolt, Red Carpet hairs, etc...many of items are making a huge comeback xD

I'm all for what ever generates $ to BVG. I personally don't care about the value of items in game. I just dont think people have much of a leg to stand on in this debate. lol. But that is just me. It seems like people are grasping at straws. I'd love to see BVG reiterate their response to this debate.

and Zynga was also notorious for telling lies and doing anything they could to generate sales with out rhyme or reason (don't get me wrong some of their features were cool, like the beginning of VIP) Most of the time they didn't even care to even give us an honest explanation or reason. Re-releases was basically free money to them, cashing in on old material because they were failing as a business to this game. They could not be trusted as a company, and re-releases are one example of that seeing as it was a huge betrayal to so many people at the time. I'll be happy to see BVG stick to their word and not follow in the same foot steps unless they make it known they truly have to, for the sake of generating desperate income. BVG knows what is best for their own company though, as it seems. I feel like this isn't even a possibility since it isn't happening.
