They still have the newbie items in store that we could buy with with are 250 coins.. and they have loads more coins.. We started with really bad starter furnishings..they get items I had to pay yocash for..

The game is a reflection of life really in that those who don't want to work try to get the same things as those who put in the time and effort. I understand begging if you don't have food to eat but there is absolutely no reason to beg on the game.. when we give the beggars items it rewards bad behavior so they keep doing it.

If you want to help newer players.. do what I do.. go to events where they are selling items for 100 coins and give them some of your unwanted items to sell or buy their items and toss in extra coins. Help those who are trying to help themselves.. don't help the ones who want to sponge off others..

Most of the beggars aren't poor check out their badges..The smarter ones just make a begging account.. Last night a newbie had an event.. but he didn't want napa items lolll

Newbies can go to the cheapy events.. buy items for 100 coins and then have an event selling them for 200 or more coins.. there are ways to earn if they want too.. its part of the process..

You are right, new players have more options to make coins, but they also have to spend more time doing mind numbing activities to get those coins. Even though they have more ways to make coins, items are a lot more expensive now too. Store items are affordable, but as soon as they leave the store they skyrocket.

Only dedicated people willing to spend an hour a day or more doing mind numbing activities will make the kind of coins you are talking about.
The game needs to cater to the dedicated as well as attract casual players too.

I hear you, that's my point, the old coin themes like Zen and Egyptian etc. are just as special to some people as halloween 08 is to others.
That's why if the old coin themes get released they must also release other older themes. Fair is fair.

I think one of the problems is that people WANT IT NOW!! There's no patience...and becoming "wealthy" in this game requires patience if you're going to do it legally.

Now that YoWorld is "new" again, these players have the same opportunities we did when we first started. Once they start releasing items, they'll be able to buy from the beginning...like we did. In a year or 2 these items will become "rare".

I don't think coins are harder to come by as the factory wages are almost 9x what they were when I first started! Back then, YC was easily earned thru offers and such, but with the spin wheel, the amount of YC recently available was laughable! If you had enough neighbors, you could make a TON of YC w/that feature!

I also think too many aren't willing to pay to play. Tough on them then! That's how a lot of us did it. We whipped out the credit card when we wanted something badly enough. If folks can't or aren't willing to do that, they they'll have to work their way through...like we all did. Folks need to stop playing the victim card and just earn their way thru the game.

Be generous dear ones! :D
This game is drastically different than it was back in the day. If you are seeing folks that want to be instantly rich in this game you are looking into a mirror!!!
I see people who are needing learn how things work . They are willing to do the work if we share with them our years of knowledge and love for Yo <3
Don't begrudge gifting/trading coins and some items you can certainly spare! It's a game - not life and death y'all!!! :D <3 :D <3 :D <3

Without these new people there will be no growth and who will buy all those items you have stockpiled to sell?
I hope I have lifted up the person who started this thread and those that agreed. You need to see the value of "Investing" in the new folks <3
It's awesome to make new friends and to help good folks become "Great Citizens of Yo!"

I think once the stores get opened and new stuff is introduced, everyone will be happier and the YOCASH sales will sky rocket when this happens. Whenever i need money, i just sell something but then again, i do have things to sell, others aren't as lucky. I help people where i can, but i also wonder if these people are really broke, do they have second accounts. I'm still not 100% trust worthy yet. It will come though. Until then, i love this game and I'm having a great time playing but new items will definately make it more interesting.

I read "most" of these posts, but yours struck a nerve. You are correct my dear. I'm not for giving to every little beggar that comes along, but if you take the time, it's not hard to find those who truly are new. And it doesn't take much to make them smile.
I started in 2009 and I never recall anyone calling me a "noob". The game was too new at that point and everyone was doing what they could to get ahead. After 5 years, some of the "old" players don't want to be bothered by a new player, and to me that is wrong. Starting in 2008/2009 is WAY different than starting today. If we don't get in the new players, in a year or two, we will be facing the same end that Z tried to spring on us, but I'm afraid there will be no one to bail us out the next time. Think about that for a second.

I think the people with alts ruined it for a lot of new players. I have been burned so many times that i have become cynical in the extreme. i never gave anything i couldnt afford to lose but its not the money for me. it was the emotional kick in the face. i gave things and helped people, i thought i was forming friendships a few times and it turns out they were other people who i had talked to before. Now, I keep to my circle of facebook friends and rarely venture out into forming new friendships. its not greed or apathy on my part, its a reluctance to get cheated again. So, honest new people lose out because of the lessons learned from the cheating cheaters i have dealt with. its not right on my part, but its a defense mode. i really was burned by one person in particular and even now, 3 years on, that one burns deep.

Its not enough to attract new players.. we need to attract players that will spend on the game.. not leeches who drive the ones spending crazy.. I am not looking forward to them putting our profiles online.. it was awful how complete strangers thought it was ok to ask for your items and coins.. I spent alot on the game using money I earned ..

If we give too much, there is no motivation for them to spend or try to earn it.

I've given away so many things in this game..heck I emptied 160 houses and gave that away.. it was really surprising though how many people asked for more..

The gimme peeps take the joy out of giving.

That's kind of the point its a game so you dont really "need" anything. Not real life bro.
