but if they keep it a secret , they can then put all their little forum / discord favs in and tell us they were voted in

YoWorld City Council: Shortlist & Voting Begins Soon!

First off, we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who applied for the inaugural YoWorld City Council! We were absolutely blown away by the number of applications and the passion you all showed for the game. It's truly inspiring to see such a dedicated community.

We've been diligently reviewing every application, and (very) soon we'll be announcing the shortlist of candidates who will move on to the next stage. This is where you come in! Once the shortlist is revealed, you'll have the power to vote for the players you want to represent you on the City Council. Your votes will be a major factor in determining who joins this important new program.

The shortlist has been determined on a few different factors, such as community engagement, making sure diverse viewpoints are covered, and also based on the answers submitted and completeness of the application. While sadly not every single application received was able to make the shortlist, we are happy to provide an extensive shortlist of amazing players who have demonstrated their passion for, and commitment to, YoWorld and its community.

While community voting will be the main driver, we will also be hand-selecting a few council members after voting has concluded. This is to ensure we have a truly diverse group that covers all aspects of our community. We want to ensure a balance of everything from veteran players to newer faces, players from different parts of the world, and those who love decorating versus those who are all about dressing up. Our goal is to fill any potential "blind spots" and create a well-rounded council that accurately reflects the richness of the YoWorld community.

Get ready to cast your votes and help shape the future of YoWorld!

Since you selected some player's for the voting, then you chose to make them anonymous, there is no way for the player's to know for an absolute fact which of those player's that make it on the council were actually player's that were voted in or if they were just selected by you! I don't trust any blind voting system, as it can be scewed!

this is pretty much what i was saying in my post above you i just said it in the short version

All the statements about voting are true ...

the google requirement added a barrier

not knowing who was who created fear of voting for someone that might not be as noble as their reply -- I want to believe that all of the players were sincere ...that however doesnt equal that we have the same values when it comes to the game ..... names would not have helped me, unless they are very active players within the games social media - or some of the more general groups.

I understanding wanting to control the game .... I understand we have a sense of ownership; we should - we are all in charge of our own universes ....... bvg has a big job of trying to keep ever single one of us happy

I really don't understand all the fuss about a google account. I thought everyone had one. You have to have one if you have an android phone, or a you tube account, or any number of things. I don't know how people get along without it.

I wish we knew who the potential members are. There are many amazing people that are dedicated to this game that I would love to cast my vote for.

Anyone can type up a wonderful platform with all sorts of promises, but the proof is in actions. I feel that we would be able to make a much better selection if we knew who the candidate was and if they actually lived up to what they claimed in their platform.

Totally agree! An actual election, with plat forms is the way to go. And terms!

Google I think with their verification system might not work as well for the amount of alt accounts some players like to work with? and it is a horrible about tracking your usage; so I can understand not having one. (but in all honestly they all track, some more then others)

What someone writes and what they are truly like can be vastly different, while you get to choose who want. 'Make the game great again' comes to mind and not in a positive way.
