I've realized this from day one of BVG's takeover and I've been anxiously awaiting the release of new items for ages just like everyone else. Ever since BVG began entertaining the idea of buying Yo I've been saving money to buy yocash once the items were released. I was hoping BVG would impliment VIP again and I couldn't wait to buy some yocash to show my support for a company I believed in after spending so much in a company I didn't believe in (through the buy tab, game cards and subscribing to VIP from the beginning) but now because of the "shame tactics" as I call it....I'm not sure I want to give BVG my money. I'm not saying I never will but I'm going to think long and hard before I do. This labeling and segregation that is already happening just goes against my morals and my beliefs. I feel bad for those that can't afford it. I've been there.

Just saying.

They get to play for free, so if they want to support the players with a badge who keep the game open then so be it. Calling it Shame tactics are overboard. I feel a lot of ppl could spend 5$ a month to help keep the game open, but it's a choice, at least their is no monthly fee

Shame tactics is a perfect fit in my opinion and I stand whole heartedly behind my post. The best part about an opinion is that an opinion is never wrong :D

A lot of us purchased yc from the beginning to show our support for BVG....we didn't wait for items to come out. Personally I have faith that they will release plenty of great items as soon as they get a qualified designer on board. Some players still have SO much yc remaining from the Zynga days that they just haven't had the need to purchase more. I don't agree that BVG is using "shame tactics" as that's not smart business...but I do agree that having badges isn't in the best interest of ALL players. I think rewarding playing spending money on the game would be better. Give them a unique item or hair, etc. The biggest issue I see with the badge system is the player who feels they're better than players without badges...or with a badge lower than their own. Sadly, I've seen this multiple times in various threads.

I know not everyone can afford to purchase yc on a regular basis...or even at all for some players. For years though I've been told I was crazy for spending "real money on pixels" by other players. It's entertainment...just like going to the movies. I've just adjusted my budget to accommodate my yoworld addiction. I hope that no one evers feels that I think they don't support BVG or the game because they can't buy yc!

FB receives money from advertisers...but BVG doesn't. They only way they could is if yoworld.com had ads on it.

It has to have been within the last 30 days. If you don't continue to purchase, at least every 30 days, the badge with go away.

I waited for items to come out only because (as you mentioned) I had plenty of yocash from a purchase mid 2013 and being vip from the beginning. With nothing to buy I haven't needed any right now. My point is that I was a yocash purchaser for a long time (spent enough to make my hubby say "if you spend another dime I'll smash the computer" lol...so I snuck to Target and bought game cards so he couldn't see it in the bank account-lol). I was also a yocash dealer in 2010. And even with the amount I've spent on this game I do indeed feel looked down upon because my spending isn't current enough. I am willing and able to purchase yocash to support BVG and I really want to...I just feel the need to stick up for what I believe in. Even if I stand alone.
