There is NO compensation that would make this OK, at least not for me. Some players have collected hundreds of these over many years and also spend a lot of money and time on them. I rarely use them but I have some I bought in 08 that are signed by the player who did them. He passed years ago and they're very sentimental to me.

Some things are just irreplaceable.

THIS REALLY SUCKS! I use mine all the time! I have many with pictures done on them that are priceless to me! Why can't you come up with a filter to keep idiots from abusing them? Or let the players you know who aren't abusing them keep them intact! Why can't players who have been playing for over ten years have there's grandfathered in? NOT AT ALL HAPPY ABOUT THIS!!!!

You literally ruined my entire game experience. Not only is all my art gone for art events but all my tour events are gone too! Super Mario tour gone! South Park tour Gone! Smurfs tour gone,Where's Waldo GONE!!!! Nearly every single tour had white board art incorporated into it and now EVERYTHING IS GONE!!!! You literally killed every single reason I played the game. very upset about this. If someone is abusing the paint boards you ban them; you ban them from buying them You do not punish the masses. You took the easiest way to solve this; less work for you. Their are plenty of players who use them for memorial tributes to parents, players that have died I had one for BJ Bowman that you deleted/ There is a player that had a fantastic 9/11 memorial with pictures of all the deceased and you deleted it The hours we spend of these tributes and you just deleted it because of a few bad apples. We spent green dollars and coins on now useless boards. I have used mine for Ovarian Cancer awareness due to the fact that I've been fighting this cancer for two years. You wanted to control a few people mis using the boards but you should go to the events page and investigate there. Lots of mis used "events" that contain sexual talk and other things that are disguised as an event. This game was so much better before you bought it. It use to be fun Now it's one big drag. House designs have declined, you can only recieve 400 gifts a day, you disabled the paint boards, you only put out nice luxury items for green dollars. Its all about the money for you Your players don't matter. You made a huge mistake this time.

Was waiting on you to post. I thought of 2 players when I saw this, and your wonderful tours came right to mind. I am SO SORRY for you and your hundreds and possibly thousands of paint boards.......

This absolutely takes the cake. Some of the most creative pieces of work by players is on these boards. I have seen some fantastic artwork in my 15 years here and I can't even imagine the devastation of destroying all of it. And Vikings are going to say there is no way around this? Are you kidding??? Truly a very sad day in Yo.

It may have been said already but, everyone saying they should have just disabled the ones violating TOS, that would have required more work than simply disabling them all. That's why they did it this way. Less work and more money seems to be the norm now.

I'm just more sad today other than being angry-BVG you have everyone feeling sad upset angered and hurt.
YOU BVG hired a new team and that is suppose to help with the game..keep it simple for newly hired people or whomever decided to do this -easiest way WAS to say "ok we have a problem,let's remove that persons account ban them and remove their stuff...simple solution-didn't take but a few mintues to figure that out but noooooooooo you delete it all when the majority used those boards for room decos and memorials

I have so many in different room and now those room look like crap and somehow in between gem events and themes-now that TWO are coming out-to try and fix the problem you made BVG..this takes a lot of time because actually BVG you do not give us enough items and content to actually re DO everything that YOU TOOK FROM US

I’d like to take a moment to clarify a few things on behalf of the team:

Whenever we look at taking action in game, our first focus is to make a change that impacts as small of a player group as possible. It doesn’t matter if it’s a bug, or an art issue, or a problem with a larger feature like the Buddy List - we know any change that’s made to YoWorld on a large scale has a chance to truly, genuinely harm your experience. I hope, at the very least, this can convey that the seriousness of this issue meant we could not stand by idly after we discovered the risk to our community at large.

We cannot fully discuss the details behind the trouble with our Paint Boards, but we can say that the main issue involved the use of uploaded images, violating ToS, and as such, we are required to remove this feature. In disabling them there have been a lot of valid points brought up within the community that should be addressed. Mostly around the way we’ve gone about our current, temporary solution.

Why disable all Paint Boards? The issue we needed to address in Paint Boards required us to disable the feature as the only means of protecting the community. This is due to the way the Paint Boards item works. As an older item, with older code, the solutions we have access to are much more limited.

Can’t we just fix it? Any change we would make to this feature would require a total overhaul of the Paint Board item.

Why didn’t you let me save my work? This is, currently, not how Paint Boards work. While the images are saved locally, any change or update to the Paint Board feature means that any work on the item as it currently exists is lost.

Will I get my images back? We understand how important this feature is to our players and we are actively exploring ways to address this concern.

Our team understands that these items don’t just represent creative fun - they’re an investment you’ve made. We aren’t ready to discuss compensation with the community yet, but we’re absolutely going to find a way to make this right.

The very nature of the item means that the second something was to go wrong, or any fix needed to be made, your work was at risk. Naturally, this wasn’t a problem when the item was working as intended. When things are fine, there’s nothing to worry about.

With this particular discovery of a ToS violating complication in Paint Boards action needed to be swiftly taken, which meant that the underlying issue within Paint Boards arrived much sooner than we expected.

Our team is extremely aware of the way Paint Boards are used. We know these items are integral to many social events, and have become a key component in your decorating. The art that you’re showing off here is a true testament to that. We also know that these items are key parts of events, trading, conversations between players, and are a staple to allowing you to decorate in creative ways our team can only begin to catch up on. So where does that leave us?

Our team is working on a solution for this particular issue. This situation involving Paint Boards is complicated, but we have a lot of faith in our team’s ability to resolve this issue.

We know you probably have questions, and we’ll be opening up a thread here for you to focus them all in one place.

The whole point is. many of these boards were Gifted with love. and the Person who created them May not be in contact anymore, or even passed on themselves.
These Boards were all special and can Never be replaced.

So you are saying the process is the problem, not an individual or group of people putting inappropriate art on the boards. I am thinking that this being included in a game might also make the owners of the game liable. I know if I tried to copy something that was copywritten and post it in Facebook I would be liable as an individual. Am I making sense here?
