The cat clock never came back on a timer either. It was pulled and that was it.

Well, there are differing opinions on that as well. I am so glad that we have you here to tell us exactly how it was

I'm positive the cat clock was pulled cuz it was broken, put back in and then pulled again.

What I don't remember is when it came back if it had a timer or not.

Funny how what you know and say seems to come straight from history books whilst what everybody else knows is just speculation and imagination.

Basically saying if it was in stores then it's considered to have been fair for everyone to get unlike the unreleased items that made their way in the game. Fairness hinging on the fact that it was simply in the store. So this is all about semantics and interpretations. It wasn't clear until the statement was made in the thread today that "time" would be a consideration for rerelease.

I know I read that some said they are being vague on purpose. I don't think they are being intentionally vague. I also don't think they are trying to upset long time players. I am simply saying that the changing language does leave it up to interpretation which causes some to be concerned. I just don't understand why on an item like this, that was officially released, they couldn't have just made a new cross.

The cat clock was put back with a timer and I remember it even better because I bought one! And then watched the timer contemplating buying another one.... but didn't have a need for more than one in my apartment and wasn't playing to invest.

It was on a timer...

It was taken out because according to Zynga there was an issue with the code and the wagging of the tail. They said their techs would work on it and put it back. It never came back.

I have no idea if that's the truth, but that was their official statement.

 See? That is exactly my point. No one knows what the real situations were or exactly how long something was in the store.....Did someone have a stop watch on the cross? LOL As I said, it was an official release, regardless of time, in my opinion, they should have left it alone and made another cross......

The story I have been told including the one from my BFF who was around at the time was the cross was in and out of the store before she knew about its release and the official story was like the mouth urinal it offended some so they pulled it before all could see and have a chance to buy it. I never heard that it was added back and I have been around and in forums for awhile now.

Rain (110294179) wrote:It's also interesting to see how the "history" of the Celtic Cross is being revised tonight to support arguments against releasing it.

Old story: It was a short time release of a few minutes before being pulled from store.

New story (that I have never heard before tonight): It was a short time release of a few minutes before being pulled from store, but was then put back in store on an official timer, thus making it fairly available to all players.

I'm not really buying the New Story. Sorry.

Well, so was I and I honestly don't remember. Why should I take your word as the gospel that it wasn't put back over other players who say it was? Does it really matter? Chances are we will see it back in the store again shortly anyways.

I agree with this. Leaving it unintentionally vague and thus open to player interpretation, is a slippery slope. They would be better off having a firm stance on that, that all players know, for sure.

Yep, it was probably a matter of mere minutes. BVG has been completely upfront about items like this. There is NO deception, no "Lies", no mystery, no misleading of any kind....they addressed items like this long ago. I expected this release.

This was not an item that everyone had a chance to buy and therefore I feel it cannot be compared to any item that was pulled with a timer.

Look at that! finally some logic. Well said!

Agreed the world is round, and when most releases happen, I'm unconscious. So releasing something for 20 mins and then taking it away is hardly okay. So I would say, anything that was released for less than 24 hours, is okay by me to re-release because, how is it fair when only half the world is awake on a release lol? How about the rest of us chumps?

I now expect the cat clock, slayer tank, playhouse cluck tub, broadway valjean, fairytale fantasy mermaid thing, vegas mouth urinal, pink pod chairs from girly girl, velvet toilets from red velvet, cookies and milk to be released. See how that works? ;)
