or because I had more than one of that item. Because then i can justify it by saying I'm selling the one I already had, not the gifted one. ;D <- This second rule has to pass some tests though;

2. Only if I can not look through the official wishlist thread and not find it listed.
3. Can I use it to randomly gift someone and sorta "pay-it-forward"?

I still have dozens of Autumn candles and coat racks that I was gifted way back when I used to ask for them at the towers. ... but I'm sure I'd be safe to dump them now - if I could find them... would I be bad?

I have never sold a gift, even if i got two of the same thing. I find someway to use all the decorations/furniture. As for clothes, I will share them with my sister in law if I get doubles. If I get male clothing, I'll regift it. Each gift is so precious.

This is why I'm pretty much done with the wishlist. There are two people I gave cupid wings to, and I've seen them selling them, or having sold them and wishing for more. I recently gave some gifts out in the wishlist and saw them posted for sale, claiming they had "extras". Well, even so, two people gifted you the item, so you're still selling gifts...

I gift when I think someone really wants the item. To see it then just be sold irritates me. I'd have just kept it had I known someone was going to just sell it for coins. Always a bummer to see that.

No.If I don't use the item anymore,or have double,I just send it to someone who has it on their wishlist.And I don't mind if people sell my gifts.

No, I never sell a gift. Live several people, if I do happen to get extra clothing, I share those. Right now my best friend in real life is giving me some stuff. I'm putting it all together in one place. Going to make a house with it all. Only use what she's given me in the house to decorate with. Think it will be fun to do it with the mix of eclectic stuff I have so far. I think she will be surprised. Well, maybe not because there's a 50/50 chance she will read it here. But maybe not.

I remember the first time someone gave me something at random. I was selling something in Trades. While I was waiting for the buyer to show up, a well known (at that time) forum member showed up and gifted me quickly and left. I was stunned. I went to the forums and sent a PM telling him he gifted me by mistake. He said it wasn't a mistake and to enjoy it. It was a big ticket item and I was overwhelmed.

I've always remembered how this made me feel. So I try to gift folks unexpectedly when I can. Makes me happy and hope it makes them happy.

This is exactly why I have been giving out very few gifts on the wishlist thread. I always check to see if their apt is decorated and all areas have been leveled up for the Yo's stating they are newbies. I want to help the new people and those returning to the game, not the people with long lists of expensive items unless I have more than one that I am no longer using. Its so sad because I always enjoyed gifting daily.

If I get an extra of something I already have or if I get gifted something twice, I keep one and give the other one to my best friend in real life, if she doesn't want it then I
A. Gift it to someone else who wants it
or
B. Make it a pageant prize

I do not sell my gifts

I never sell gifts, I always find a use for them.

Never did. Never will.
First of all I am hoarder and I love my items. Second of all it's extremly rude, and if I see someone selling an item that I've given, it will break my heart.
Though If I get doubles in clothing I give them to someone else. (Mostly At The End)
