Of course I realize they will ask what about the players who were not here when those things came out? My answer to them is that the stuff is available for a price. Go work for it like I did and then you can buy it.

I totally agree with you Adeline :) I shall keep a copy of this lol

So to pause on this point for a moment, Collectibles wont be re-released, I would think that's a moot point. But what clarifies something as old. One year, two years, three years? It's very vague. Does that mean 2010 items aren't old but 2009 are or if an item has been ingame for longer then 4 years it is considered old.
And if it was re-released, like all those themes that were re-released last year, does that mean that they aren't considered old as they were only put into the game last year.

This unfortunately only causes more confusion around this issue.

It doesn't cause more confusion. At least not in my opinion. Gary says that if the item was released previously, then no.

Having limited edition items is an idea that's about time.

There will be actual rare items instead of artificially created rare items.

Actually I think the most important telling bit of info is where he says, "If the item was officially released previously and everyone had the opportunity to get it, then no.". That covers a WHOLE LOT OF Items.

It covers items relating to the question. The question was directed at old items and collectibles. The answer is limited to items that fall within those parameters. New items do not qualify, at what point is a new item considered old?

Gary's answer when applied to a conditional statement results if the following:

if (Was the item officially previously released? = Yes ) & ("Did everyone have the opportunity to get it?" = Yes ) then
_______The item won't be re-released
else
_______The item will possibly be re-released
end if

What this means is that both conditions have to have an answer of Yes in order for Gary's answer to be true.
Collectibles were officially released, but did everyone get the opportunity to own one?

I enjoyed reading the interview very much.

Despite his fondness for counters (remember *that* picture?) and green shiny pants, Gary seems to be a personable fellow, eh? :P

Just love BVG's positive and direct communications with players - so refreshing! :D

Great interview, and thanks so much for sharing on the forum! :)

I think they should be careful with what they re-release, but that's just me. I don't own anything "08" btw.

Thanks for posting! :)

lol, no, I copied that conditional statement from wikipedia, figured it would be easier to read then something like this"(condition) ? ifTrueDoThis : ifFalseDoThis;"
