Much like they did with some of the items people said went missing on them.

Sure it would have upset some people but the majority would have been accepting of the above and still been here now.

No actually that would have caused a mass exodus. Seriously man, not a good plan.

It also would have put consumer confidence in the crapper, and killed any chance to fix this game.

A mass exodus? They would have just laid the blame on Z's feet. And people who were all about saving the game should have still been happy as the game was saved, albeit without all the dirty coins and some legit ones too, obviously.

They laid the blame on Z for some decorating and items missing and while some people complained, I don't recall a single person quitting over it.

What's the difference?

All of the fixes to this economy are difficult fixes and all involve getting a massive amount of coins out of it to do it. The easiest way would have been eliminating them from day 1.

Not until the coins in this game are bled out somehow. The reasons the yocash rate rises are for two reasons. Less people dealing YC, and the items people are dealing YC to obtain are still very high, thanks to the FG coin hacks and coin sellers selling at .50c a million. There was a time in this game where there was more competition between coin sellers for customers, than there was between YC dealers.

The idea that the very active economy needs any kind of "fix" is a fallacy right off the bat. The economy is fine, the market is strong.

What needs a fix is the attitudes. You can't have everything you want just because you want it. Simple.

People say that now* about losing their coins, but back before the transfer people were actually willing to completely start over. LOL At least even though coin loss... everyone would still have all their cherished items. :D

i think yocash sellers are slowing down. yocash prices in stores are too high, last release prices were decent

You miss the point...I can have everything I want just because I want it

I think you also fail to grasp just how many coins there are in this game.

Prices are ridiculous because to a lot of players spending 20m on an item is nothing more than a new player going to the store and buying 75c sunglasses.

Flatch said there are players with 300m in this game...he's not lying. It's not an isolated case of people sitting on a mountain of coins either.

This isn't the 2009 yoville where if you had a couple hundred k you were doing well and could afford almost anything. This is the 2014 couple hundred m version. Which all it does is price newer players more and more out of anything from the past. And when I say past, I mean a year ago past....look at themes like Fairytale Fantasy.

If you don't see this as a major problem, I don't know how to make the point more clear to you.

They're slowing down because why should they deal a 28yc hair for 1m coins when they can just go into their stockpile of fairytale fantasy unicorns, sell 1 of them that cost 2yc and get 1m coins.

*the unicorn was just as an example as there are even more examples I can throw out there to fit the same thing.

Heck, they can take 5-10 of those fairytale fantasy sun ray hearts and make 1m coins. Those things were like 1k each in the store and I know plenty of people who stockpiled them.

I don't think I'm failing to grasp anything. The market is what it is, however it got there. Attempting to artificially manipulate it will lead only to disaster. Are there items that have been jacked up? Yah, totally. How do you combat this? Stop buying them, and the prices will fall. Easy peasy.

Prices won't fall when there are people with hundreds of millions coins to buy them.

Which is why, at this rate, in a few years, a decent amount of coins would already have been purged from the game. Possibly...

Honestly, if I were a new player starting this game today...there's NO way I'd stay.
With today's ability to make coins...for NEW people...and today's prices for everything in the stores and in game, how would I be able to decorate an apartment? How would I be able to dress my Yo in anything but those original themes? I'm not talking about buying everything. I'm talking about buying the basics...decorating and clothing.

I think the economy is ok for those of us that have been in it for the long haul. For new players, REAL new players, the economy being ok...that's the fallacy.

And BVG has stated numerous time they intend to introduce new ways of making coins in the game, so until we see what that entails, it's difficult to say how new players might do.

If major steps aren't taken to get coins out of the game, there won't be a game in a few years.

Someone with 300m coins, just as an example, never needs to open their wallet again to buy anything they want. They can go and decide to give yc dealers 100k+ to 1 on anything they want because, lets face it, 2m gone from that total means absolutely nothing.

People with massive amounts of coin, or the ability to get to massive amounts of coin, is not isolated. Any person with massive amount of coin has no reason to spend their real money on this game anymore or at all other than if they feel like donating to help support BVG as they don't need it to help their gameplay.

Apparently some people don't view this as the economy being broken or being a problem though.
