That would be great and I really hope these suggestions are being listened to, we just need these type of items whether they are old ones or a new BVG version of them. There will be a lot of people disappointed if the first official release doesn't contain some decent creative decorating items.

It really doesn't matter how many stickies you make or how many times you express this, some folks will just continue to either pick apart every single word you say or act as though it's not truth. Personally, I'm sick to death of all of the old themes already. I have picked through them so many times that I am impatiently awaiting something new. :D Out with the old and in with the new!! :P

Just kidding John, thanks again! :)

That's exactly what I want Myrt! A signed document on camera proving no rereleases. Lol jk jk

All I wanted was for them to reevaluate the situation after hearing more people speak up that were pro re release. Now that they have seen it. I will move forward and just wait for new stuff to be released which I was waiting for anyway. I did however like ruffling a few feathers and pretty much the whole time I was laughing. Hopefully no one took me too personal. I literally could argue with a brick wall and it doesn't matter if I am for it or against it. :)

Lol Lets see if we can get Greg on that! You stick to your guns Amber, I'll give you that. :)

With that being said, maybe they'll put some permanent staples in the store for decorators. I did read quite a bit of that thread and understand that it's not just about windows and tiles but maybe that would be a start.

I agree with other players, if you take away items that we might need for decorations, what do we do those who only like to decorate houses?? to re-release certain things that we use is not bad ( tiles, doors, walls, windows, etc) , otherwise when you design new stuff think about what these players say: give us permanent items...

Yes, it is a bit ignoring. Basicly ignoring the wish of those who need those re-releases, willing to spend money, and granting the wish of those who want the items stay discontinued so they can make profit.

On the other hand, they might have other reasons, such as legal issues, reasons due to their business plan, etc. that they prefer not to tell us openly. Then I would understand that.

But saying that they understand importance of item rarity for players, sounds like as if they don't understand the other players which I want to think that they didn't actually mean so.

My wish is that they would re-release some items as I have changed my mind on the subject after undergoing previous re-releases. It was fun! I'm basically bored now.

Hey everyone!

As it's been stated a few times in this thread quoting Gary's interview with YoRehab, if any item has officially been released by Zynga in the past we will not be putting it back into the game. Accidental releases such as the Menorah Hat are different, as they weren't an official release.

All of your 08 and 09 costumes, retro specks, and all the other valuable items that have been released before are not going to be re-released. As Gary mentioned, we understand the value of rare items and want to keep it that way.

If you see people posting 'rumor' threads about releases coming tomorrow or next week, if it's not a post from one of us then it's exactly that, a rumor!

I hope this helps clear things up for everyone!

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.......     You know some will read these words and think that!

Seriously though, I decorate a lot and I love to decorate avenues. Those are a challenge, because you can not change the floors. It just makes me have to be more creative and come up with a solution. I would love the grass tiles, walls and stuff like that in store, as I am sure some others would, but I don't agree with re-releasing themes at all. So I am content to wait.

I think it is clear to BVG that there are decorators playing and I think they will give us things we need. Maybe going FORWARD they can create a decorator section in the store, with "staple" items and if themes close out, those "staple" items can be moved into the decorator theme and not expire with the rest of the theme. That way, resellers don't "stock up" on things they won't be able to resell and decorators have what they need.

Anyway, I think it was clear before what BVG's plan was with old themes. Hopefully it is more clear now......RIP dead horse, you endure one heck of a beating......

Thank you very much for this post.. I was looking for the older post but as you mentioned it's nowhere near the start page.. I own both 08 costumes and Retro specks and was getting worried about losing big amounts of money.

I'm happy now that you have cleared this up about such items.
Thank you (:

Sooo.... when is the next re release then?
I am glad you put this out here. i have nothing against a good debate but so much of it was just the same thing over and over again. I do agree with the ideas of putting a decorator section in game... i have been saying this since this debate was reignited. just have a place where the tiles and walls get added if a theme leaves. that way decorators are happy, hoarders can hoard other stuff.... and rare collectors can get their rares. Win win!
I know some people think of it as losing but i dont see it that way at all.. i never realized it was a battle. It was a decision by the game owners... I am sorry there are items you guys want... I hope that the stuff BVG will put out will make you forget about the old stuff! Maybe some decorators can put together a thread showing some tricks to get around spending lots of money on stuff... There are some wonderfully creative people out there. It would be interesting to see some of the tricks of good decorating!

I don't think it matters how many times you answer this question, there are certain people that will ALWAYS B and Complain every single time. So sick of the whole thing. You should have a "complaints" category so that every time it is the SAME OLD COMPLAINT, it can go right into that area and the rest of us that are sick of seeing the posts EVERYWHERE, will be able to skip all the complaints.

Thank you , Viking John for posting this. It was originally your answer to a question I asked and I tried to copy it to every new thread that came up but I got exhausted doing so.

I find that many of the threads are not questions at all but attempts to convince you and Greg to re-release these items and I for one am tired of those threads so I will not be posting on them at all. It is a shame people continue to do this despite what you have said on the matter. They say re-releasing will help make the game profitable for you or it will give players more things to decorate with.

I look in the auction house and in events and I see people pricing things currently for sale - re-releases etc. - at prices that clearly show these sellers are interested in making the game profitable for themselves at the expense of everyone else. I cannot support that.

So again, thank you for making this a sticky and thank you for respecting those of us who got our goods honestly.

Now I'd like to see how grass tiles and wall pieces are justified as being lumped in with "rares". Items like those being "rare" (hence, price jacked) do a major disservice to the designers in the game. Not everyone "collects" or plays for "pixel worth".

I have to honestly say that I'm getting bored with the design aspect of the game. I know I'm not alone.

Releasing the Wild West grass and NYC walls, which should have never been taken out as they are design staples, would in no way impact collectors or the pixel rich.

Please realize that you have more than one group of spenders to cater to. ;)

You had more than enough time to get that grass and NYC walls......
