This saddens me so much to read.

In this case I do know the accusations are false rumors coming from jealous ones in the community.
Rumors that belong in the garbage.

I don't think there was a rule broken, I don't think there is a rule that you have to speak truth in here....and I have a policy of never reporting anyone, ever, no matter what they did.
Reporting Karma is nothing I want to wear.
But please, labeling someone from rumors you've heard karma is equally as bad IMO.

We understand that Paint Boards are an important part of community events, trading hubs, and your own artistic expression in game - and we’re deeply appreciative of the screenshots you’ve shared showing how much your art means to you. As a result of unforeseen issues, players were able to abuse Paint Boards in ways that were never intended, and were in direct violation of our TOS. The decision to disable these items and remove all existing in game content was difficult but necessary for the safety of our community. While this feature is still disabled, our team is investigating how Paint Boards can safely be re-enabled. We are not able to provide an ETA as to when this investigation will be complete, but resolving this issue is our highest priority.

Once we have a better understanding of the long-term status of the Paint Boards feature, we’ll be able to provide more clarity regarding the future of Paint Boards. This will include information about content previously saved on paint boards as well as compensation for this feature outage.

Please know that our team is working hard to reach a solution as quickly as possible. Your safety when playing in YoWorld is our number one priority. It's critically important that we move with care when investigating any issue that may impact a social feature as largely used as this one.

A related question - are the Brass Frames still safe to use? Yes, I'm aware that they're not working correctly but is there any point in still using them in the hope that they'll be fixed? Thanks!!

I for one do appreciate you taking the community's feelings into account, and going back and spending time trying to fix the situation. It is hard seeing so many broken hearts over their lost memories and treasures.

Any chance you could possibly consider adding animated features such as downloading youtube content of course it would have to come with restrictions. V-cruise use to have this. Feature. This would also allow us if you included sound to download music videos

So does this mean that there may still be a small glimmer of hope that they may be able to be restored.

Mine worked for a few days and then stopped working again but as far as I know it's more a Facebook issue than a BVG Issue.

If the boards in question contained objectionable content, then limit the content. You could have players submit images for approval, then if approved, players would get a code to unlock their board and put the image on the board or frame or whatever. Disable the hand writing on boards. If it is a matter of staff hours, I am sure you could get player volunteers who would work for YoCash. Ex. review 20 board images and get 1 YC. I am sure you would have no shortage of volunteers.

all i had was dragon ball z goku on mine i miss haveing in my place its not right for people work so hard on them

I had so many murals emptied from these breaking.
So I tried to add some Cheshire cats back in my picture frames in my Alice in Wonderland rooms.....and found mine are still broken sadly.

Disabling handwriting would limit our ability to create signs and decor items that are not offensive, abusive or copyrighted and I'm not confident that player volunteers wouldn't be biased. RL photos, names and messages that violate the TOS is one thing. Hand drawing a sign like a restaurant sign that's not using the real name or brand, a little decor thing like a pot filler for our kitchens, item prices or just whatever graffiti is quite another.

It shouldn't be left to players to monitor this stuff, regardless of whether they they are paid in Yo currency or just doing it to volunteer. Volunteering means no payment. It's BVG's responsibility to do their best to make sure things don't get abused and they should be investing in paid staff and properly vetting them to handle this.

why dont bvg do the paint boards you set the price people bring you what u want and u can decide if its good to do or notif it is bvg does the board for the person if not then u tell the person it cant be done

I never used the free style handwriting, it looked awful. Now if we could type to the boards that would be different. Yes I understand volunteering means not getting compensated. I is a college gradiate! Call it a bonus, whatever. I'm just saying, long-time adult players could be a resource to get things moving. And we could still use Facebook if the frames were working. Any abuse would would be less likely since your images are uploaded to FB.
