After so many years on yoworld almost since the start I QUIT OVER THIS!!! The game was holding on by a thread and they took out one of its best features, we never got the picture frames back now this i will NEVER INVEST A PENNY IN THIS GAME EVER AGAIN.

its just a guess, but I think it might have been more then an image that was creating issues; once the boards were cracked they would just keep spreading the hack until things were unusable again

I agree. I had just learned about this a few days ago. I didn't understand why this happened and was upset because I'm an artist and years of my work were gone, as well as gifts from others. However, in reading through many of these comments I realize this is probably why this happened. For the safety of the game and it's players if this is what has to be done, then so be it. It sucks big time, but having an open door for this game to get hacked sucks much worse. I'm bummed, but I get it and support BVG doing what they have to, to keep the game secure.

Honestly I didn't care as much for paint boards although I fully utilised them, I had a graduation room full of boards wishing me congratulation on my uni graduation, birthday party boards, etc.. losing all that isn't a big deal for me, the memories will stay forever.

What bothers me the most is that number of events/players dropped after this announcement and the increase in the pessimistic events suggesting yoworld is ending...
I lose the hype the moment I login when I see such events and view players count.
Without the community and the players, there isn't much left to do.

I've also seen the number of players drop off. Paintboard Gate couldn't have come at a worse time. June is normally the time a lot of players are already checking out of Yo to enjoy the real world. The summer drop off is real and has occurred every year I've played. A lot of players were already frustrated with BVG as well, and this issue has just solidified their frustration and possibly motivated some action.

But the true test is time. Yo is easy to play and is a great boredom killer. Many will wander back in and probably try it again, Hopefully BVG has a paintboard solution before then. I think they need some type of image scanner to deploy against whatever we add to paintboards. It will simply scan for porn and if it finds none, then it allows the image. Problem solved.

Unfortunately, not as simple as it sound.
This requires AI tools to recognize objects in hand-drawn and printed paintboards, and even if you succeeded in identifying objects with code, you'll have to find a way to filter pictures according to TOS rules.

Besides this paint board debacle, I see that you've quietly discontinued our beloved CLUB feature. Our group was growing and we enjoyed being able to communicate through this feature. Are you trying to get rid of us? I can see why you didn't want to announce this. We are pretty pissed at you-all.

Club feature been made by zynga and not been updated by BVG and yoworld.com feature has been disabled by zynga and need to take into account not many players use it anymore. Old features may need to be disabled or removed or renewed again. Some features are linked to facebook and there broken and might not be able to get repaired due to facebook issuses

I don't know about players dropping off solely due to the paintboard saga, speaking for myself personally went I stopped playing for a large amount of time, it was due to almost everything being yc in the store, even basics like chairs, why would I spend 16 yc for 4 dining chairs?

I had a board from a friend who has now passed. Will never see it again. Was a reminder of his friendship.

That would be awesome! It seems to me that back in the day, I was able to add songs to the original Sims game. I was also able to add wallpapers, which was cool, although I was never very good at making them to scale. It would be great if we could do that, too.

I'm amazed it went on for so long, given most of it was reproduced without artists permission. Very actionable situation.

Hey y'all big Viking when y'all took over yellville and there were so many delays and missing items and all of that and it's you know the the community that was there prior kind of dwindled well a lot of us kept coming back because we've invested so much money you're talking about the paint boards and it was a disagreement in your POS well whoever modified it because people were having problems getting it to work somebody modified it and made it better and instead of looking at it as let's improve on that particular thing you guys are trying to block it and again there's not skepticism it's right there in front of us and you saying that since we since somebody modified it you guys don't want to work with it but what the modifications did was improve it and that to me would be something to say hey you know it did work and people did like it and were able to do a lot more with it than we did so why not improve on what the situation is instead of looking at a legality and your way of backing out of making it work it's like AT&t who says unlimited but yet you go on there main page and it says you're unlimited although you may notice throttling or things may slow down if you go over a particular thing well that's not exactly unlimited then unlimited means no boundaries and to me it's just a sneaky way I'm not saying y'all are being sneaky but it's around and about way instead of saying you know we see how important what you do you notice how important people have made that those paint boards and why not use the code that's already there because there's no signature on it that says those modifications can't be improved because they improved on whatever it started out to be so why not continue it instead of punishing those that didn't modify it but enjoyed using it it didn't alter any of the program details of the game itself just the paint board.

BTW, you're working on that doesn't mean that nothing's going to work or get fixed on the mobile app because you can't play the games which is basically the only thing that's in the mobile app that you can do but it can't do it then it doesn't work LOL and does big biking have plans that they're going to sell your world to somebody else maybe however modified the paint boards would be interested in purchasing it .. it can happen lol

whiteboards, gold frame picture frames, clubs is there anything else you wanna take offline? why clubs? i put real money into the game to make a club and now its broke or offline. why? pls answer why...

all my friends had clubs a good 200 of em what about them they spent real money on clubs. what about them
