Wow.. I'm amazed at how quickly peeps are spewing negativity all over the forum. We have never had this kind of transparency from the former owners. When they laid the monthly bills right out on the table for all to see I was impressed.

Please take into consideration the amount of time and money that it take to provide a quality game. If you bought an old home that had been abandoned for a long time, it would take you a while to repair everything that was broken before you could start to decorate or even get to the point of having company over for a house warming. To top it off you need the crew that can bring the "old home" to it's former glory...

I'm going to wait... exercise some patience, after all I left the game for about 2 years because it had gotten so bad.. what's a couple more months? My plan is to see a complete theme roll out (in buts and pieces as Gary stated) and then start investing financially in BVG. I already have a lot invested and would like to see my investment secure and be able to come back and play even when I take a little break from the game..

I have 2 questions for Gary..
1. Do you ever sleep?
2. Why not make the game by subscription? Seems to me that 5 dollars a month to play would put plenty of money in BVG pockets. Make everything yo coin and give me (cuz I don't want to speak for others) plenty of ways to earn coins. Just a thought.

Update.. After seeing some of comments I did some research on "pay to play games" They have not been very successful.

Its been stated that as of now, only 5% of players pay for YoCash with real money. Now imagine how the population of the game would dramatically decrease if the 95% who did not pay, simply vanished because they did not pay a monthly fee. Now of course, some of those 95% would start paying to keep playing, but how many of them would?

YoWorld has been a freemium game for over 6 years, wouldn't making it pay-to-play would make so many hit the road?

But we should all be patient, good things come to those who wait, right? :)

yes, and if over the next months, if I decide that I don't want to spend any money on the game, I can still play.. but with a subscription fee, if I don't pay each and every month, I lose account??

would make more sense to cut services to places that do not invest enough to even support the cost of the server .. like egypt.. costing 10k a month to get the game there, and only getting 190$ returned from sales... which means, the cost of keeping them playing is buried in the cost of what we buy..

This. Making the game pay-to-play would lose 95% of the MAU, and that would cause the game to shut down, surely. :|

5$ a month.. would be cheaper for many of the yocash buying players.... instead of $50-$60 every few weeks ( which could work out to a few hundred a year), I would only have to spend 60$ a year ... and that would apply to every yocash buying player... and then of course the 95% that currently don't buy yocash/coins wouldn't pay the fee, they would be gone .. it would leave 5% of the current players all alone inside yoworld... HOLY CRAP, CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW LAGLESS IT WOULD BE?? that would last for 1 month, maybe 2, then.. buh bye yoyo's

still thinking a fee is a good idea?

I thought it was a big mistake that permit trading of yocash in the Action house. This produces hollow, unsecured money coming into circulation. If it is not, the bills should go because: /i hope u will understand my bad english grammar/ - Example - one man in Egypt wants to have hair for $ 18, but have only coins. Then the man from UK bought two hairs - one for himself and one for the man from Egypt /that he will paid with coins/. That is, for each yocash in the game BVG will gets their money.

I liked the VIP option before too - will subscribe again if this option is available

I was right with you until you mentioned the $5 subscription. I pay to play, but I think it would be cool for BVG to make a voluntary monthly subscription again so the people that subscribe to this are somehow more entitled to the limited edition items and can even buy exclusive items! That would be great.

I think as soon as they started releasing things and selling cash we had the right to state our opinions.. they need to know what makes us spend our money or not. They are not a charity I need to keep afloat. They are a business and as such, they need to give me the things that make me want to part with my money. I did buy a bit of cash as soon as i was able to show my support. I didn't need it, I had plenty left over but I knew that cash was already given to Zynga, so I bought more.
I have never liked all of a theme, but i spent my money and will continue to do so, but why should I not tell them what i think? Admittedly, some people need more tact but they should by all means state how they feel. Why shouldn't the people who disagree not say what they feel about things? If you keep silent and buy cash or continue to play, acting happy when you are not, BVG will feel that you are happy with whats put out. Then we will get more of the same. That in turn will make people feel unsatisfied and leave. We know that BVG listen to its players and want to give what we want if its possible, so why cant we tell them what we want? it doesnt make us ungrateful and it doesnt mean we are whiners. It means we give feedback where it belongs.. in a forum about the game. I do think these last releases are better... i will give them a chance to make stuff that I like, but I will also give feedback on things as I see it.

well said. i waited awhile to be super impressed with Z once again.... then i felt a bit let down for the last year or so with them. BUT then i was bummed out that the game was closing. though it didnt take long for me to perk up again. bvg took us, and hell i dont care how long i have to wait, i have faith in them. they have been working their asses off

some of us put them up on a pedestal because we are so thankful, but on the other hand, we now seem to have a new bunch who are demanding little brats. UGH
