Why does anyone who disagrees with the buy or fly attitude get bashed? Can one not simply state his/her opinion without getting a "if you don't like it, leave"? Such a shame that we can't even give feedback on items, unless it's good, without some rude person coming along and changing a thread into a hellzone.

It's the constant threads about it that's annoying. It's quite simple, if you don't like the price don't buy the item. Same as you would do inrl if something was too expensive.

People are grumpy when it comes to selling on here. People walk into my house when I sell and ask me questions about things, I don't mind it.

Some people are just born to find something about someone to laugh at or bash about. I had a simple typo in my event saying 'Selling HH Creepy Hat', which was meant to be cat. someone walked in laughed at my mistake and poofed faster than I could say thank you.

Some people you can never change

He's not talking about prices in this thread, he's just making a thread about why do people bash others if they don't follow the sellers 'buy or fly' rule and instead ask a question about something or give a friendly opinion over something to the owner.

Cause "buy or fly" is kind of rude and unwelcoming IMHO. I avoid those sales like the plague. :)

I can reply to this in many ways. I don't know how long you've lived on this planet but corrupted people are everywhere and there will always be people that don't like what you have to say. There will always be trolls, immaturity, bullies, people that swim with the current etc. When a situation is toxic and all you see are imps gathering like a bunch of stupid little children back in grade school, "just leave". I disagree to many things and I'm not a suck up and never will be.

I don't bother with anyone at an event that does not give me a chance to look around. The second they open their mouths and say, "buy or fly", I leave. I don't tolerate being spoken to at such a childish level in the real world and I sure as heck will not tolerate it from a tiny cartoon character at an event. Remember there are kids here pretending to be adults and there are adults that are extremely immature

If I see buy or fly on someone's event description, I just dont go. Not worth the trouble of dealing with the attitude.

I personally have never used the term buy or fly, but I think people using it just don't want to deal others that barge in complaining about the price and what not.

The term "buy or fly" just sounds bad and unwelcoming imo. I get what the term means but it's just the way it sounds. Many who use the term tend to be very strict and rude too from my experience.

Being a host to many sales in my yo past I can certainly understand where other sellers are coming from. Myself, I would never put "buy or fly" in my event title or description because I agree with others who say it seems rude and or unwelcoming. That being said, it is very annoying to have people stop at your event only to play with the interactives or just hang out with no intention of buying. I had one girl hang around for about 15 minutes who finally announced "this is boring, I'm leaving". Ummm, excuse me. It's a sale not an amusement park/playground.

True, makes you wonder if they will kick you before you can even ask a question.

Buy or fly are the best sales.

You don't have to worry about people whining and throwing a fit or haggling.

What you see is what you get...you either take it, or you leave.

I think it the height of rudeness saying buy or fly in your event listing and i refuse to go to those sales even if they have something i really want. You want my coin...you can at least have the courtesy of being polite. :)
I do understand the motive behind it...however...having had many many sales events of my own and put up with the twits...it is in my opinion just a part of the process. Those that are being twits get a prompt boot up the bum and sent to Altons....rather than putting off a whole bunch of potential mature customers by putting "buy or fly" in my event listing. :)

I am kind of rude when I go to events. By that, I mean that I leave wothout saying anything sometimes or go straight to the point. This is because if you stay and even ask how is their day going you get kicked... at least I have. Events can be annoying. I actuallyhad the glasses you have on your wishlist. I wanted 1.4m but let them go for 1m which was the owner's offer because she was nice. It goes a long way!
