It's been brought to my attention that Selfies are still not working for many players.

Our team recently released a fix for this, but it seems that it did not resolve the issue for everybody, so we are looking into it again.

If you are still having issues with Selfies, please reply to this thread and let me know the following details:

What platform are you playing on (FB/YW.com)?

Are you playing in a browser or the Desktop App?

What happens when you try to take a Selfie?

When is the last time it worked for you(if you remember)?

hi Andrew, it was last year around October 23, I'm thinking that it last worked for me. I'm playing on YW.com. When I click on the camera to take selfie, it will take it, but when I click to share it doesn't do anything. I do have the FB app up, & signed in, as I am trying to share the selfie. Still does nothing, & seems to stay in lingo. No coins given, no photo link pops up to connect to the FB page. I think it might be between YW.com & FB no connection to the selfie, somehow. I don't know for sure. Hoping it gets resolved. Question: Ref selfies will you have it linked to Discord accts somehow, when total disconnect from FB takes place? Just thought I'd ask, on how that would work. Thank you for all that you do.

I have never been successful taking selfies on yoworld.com or the yoworld app. I can take the picture, it pops up to share but then nothing happens. This has always been the case for me since the new platform was created. I was able to do selfies from facebook (usually on edge browser but chrome worked too) until several months ago.. I'm trying to remember exactly when, there was an outage I believe and when that was patched, selfies haven't worked since. I can take the picture, get the pop up to post it and then that disappears and nothing else pops nor do i get the xp or coins.

Thanks so much for looking into this, I had given up hope that selfies would ever work again.

hi Andrew. The last time I was able to post a Selfie was February 19, 2024.
When I take a selfie I am using the YW.com platform.
I use the Chrome Browser.
When I take a selfie, the Selfie editor opens, when I click on the share button, the Share Selfie dialog box opens, I click on Share,the dialog box disappears and that's all that happens.

Hi I have been having selfies issues, for about 2 months now. I play through YoWORLD.COM browser. I take selfies, but it won't let me share the photos. And it will say I still have 10 photos left to take.It won't let me share my selfies to Facebook. I no longer play from Facebook servers.

I play on YW and FB on Chrome and it last worked for me over a month ago. It did work one time but mostly I take the photo and hit share and nada. I really need it to work to participate in sites that feature our rooms. The one that shares what we are wearing does work, I can copy and paste that photo but none of the rooms work.

Hello Andrew... The selfie hasn't worked for me in quite awhile - I can't remember, exactly, how long it's been but it seems to have started not long after I volunteered to be part of the test group for the inventory fix y'all were working on. The camera seems to work... when I click it, the selfie editor opens & then the share box opens, but when I click to share, the box disappears but the selfie doesn't post to my timeline and I don't receive any coins. It's happening no matter if I play directly thru YoWorld, thru Facebook or thru the desktop app. OPERA is my browser.

*I just checked my Facebook timeline and the last selfies I was able to post were shared on February 20th.

Good Morning Viking Andrew and Every-Yo,
My selfies worked fine up until about 2-2 1/2 months ago, at the same time I lost the ability to pull up the game through Facebook.
I get a Server Snake page popping up that says I've been disconnected every time I try.
Up until then I was successfully able to post my selfie just fine.

I currently play on Yoworld.com exclusively, and 99.9% of the time go into game through the app crown.
I only use a browser to play if I am collecting Hot Dogs, but do not stay on the browser after collecting 4, I switch back to the crown app.

Here is the Drill I get when taking a selfie on Yoworld.com app

1. I take the selfie





2. Game asks if I want to share it. I click SHARE and the pop up preview then goes away without the next usual pop up showing the intended post to my Facebook wall ever appearing giving me the actual option to posts the selfie.







I thought I would also try to pull up Yoworld.com on Google Chrome to see if the game would post it using a Browser window.
The same exact thing that happens from the Crown App happened there too....I got the Share picture but not the actual Facebook post that posts it to our wall appearing..........there is some disconnect right there!!

I mostly use the browser as the desk top app doesn't work as well, but I did go on there to see what happens and the same thing happened.
I'm able to take the pic, click to share, but then nothing happens.
It hasn't been that long for me that it hasn't worked, maybe a month or less.

Both, doesn't work on either for me.

Are you playing in a browser or the Desktop App?

I've played in all the different browsers and it didn't work on any of them.

What happens when you try to take a Selfie? Sometimes they pop up for sharing doesn't come up at all and sometimes I tried and it posted but
when my buddies and I click on each others it gives us a gray screen and I have one friend they work for and I click on hers every day in order to collect the coins.
However those are the last ones that worked and now she can no longer post them either.

When is the last time it worked for you(if you remember)?

A few months ago is when they quit.

Well I just saw this and tried it, and it actually worked- but only one time!!- I was playing on FB. Couldn't get it to work again! SO there is is a glimmer of hope?!

I have tried to use both platforms with this issue: Facebook, yoworld.com (in browser and YW app), using Google Chrome Version 122.0.6261.137 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Once TODAY, I could post a selfie, but afterward, nothing happened after I chose to post this selfie to the world. For the one time it did work, I got a window to my Facebook HOME page, showing my newsfeed, stories, daily birthdays, etc. as if I chose to post the selfie from my newsfeed.

With everyone else, I ask you guys to PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP. I know you are experts, but this seems to be a misdirect issue (just my opinion). Thank you!

What happens when you try to take a Selfie? I get as far as "are you ready to share this selfie with the world?". I click "Share" and nothing happens.

When is the last time it worked for you(if you remember)? The last time it worked reliably was 6-8 weeks ago. But 3 times in the past couple of weeks, for one evening, I was able to take Selfies BUT only in one specific room of one of my houses. Each time the room/house was different and the next night, it didn't work. The last time was actually Friday night - I took 10 selfies, all in the same room [because, as I said, they wouldn't work anywhere else]. I posted a few for peeps to collect coins but was told that no one was able to do so.

The last time I was able to post a selfie was sometime in October last year if I remember correctly, or more precisely after the migration to the new servers. Then I was not able to do anything - the selfie screen was grey.

Maybe a month or two ago the selfie screen has been colored normally (not grey), signaling that I could use the camera; it even has displayed that I could take 10 selfies and receive a reward for them, but what actually happens is exactly what has been illustrated by DANDILIONWINE: I click on the camera, the selfie has been taken; a pop up shows asking if I want to share it, I click SHARE, and... poof... nothing happens after that - no slefies posted on FB, no points/Yo- money rewarded.

I play the game on the new app, or yoworld.com (the layering feature is AMAZING, btw - thank you sooo much for it!), but I also tried the selfie feature via FB, and exactly the same thing happens there as well. Some players claim that they could take selfies in front of Vinnie's DIner: they would not get the room bonus, but will have points towards their general level in the game. That doesn't work for me at all - the same thing previously described happens there also. I use Chrome on Windows 11 when/if I play the game via FB.

Same. My selfies have been broken since the server migration, last October. I have perpetually "No film left," which means no coins or XP points:

I was able to take pictures and share them, though, up until February 22nd. Since then, I've had the same issue as everyone described above.

I have tried FB AND YW.com, the Desktop App and a half dozen different browsers. Nothing works. At this point, I'm just like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi Andrew, Hasn't worked for me since the FB debacle last October, all it says is no film left regardless of what platform I play the game on. They used to work on FB, never have worked on the web game. Of all by friends that play, only 1 has selfies that work & only through FB.
