After several cycles of the new way BVG has decided to run the gem events, I have observed the following: They are way too long for the amount new gem content being released. I could be wrong but prior to this new way, every challenge we would get new prizes. That made it interesting. Now we are getting LESS new gem content, longer events, and the redundency of items is ridiculous. The quality of entries I see when voting seems to be going down, which means people are losing interest. Which I don't blame them at all. Because we are getting mostly repetitive items that are actually in the store, why should we invest in the contests? It would honestly be cheaper to just do the basics to enter, collect the free gifts & buy what we want from the stores. Gem events used to be my favorite part of the game, but between the repetitive garbage we get along with the constant refreshes midway,...even I am losing enthusiasm. Please do better BVG. If you are going to keep doing these extended events, then at the very least start producing more gem event items with each challenge. Each time we do an entry should have a new tier of prizes, where at least 60% of the prizes are new gem content, not the way you've been doing them. And while I'm ranting, please fix the 1st gem bar rize so it can be used. At the very least acknowledge that you know it's not working & are looking in to it.

they think their slick with their new greed tatics :nerd:
by making tons of colors for each same item it increases the amount of "NEW" boxes on each tier :nerd:
i remember when it was affordable to buy extra gems to open the new stuff boxes....
but now they have doubled up or tripled up on those new boxes meaning you have to spend alot more yocash to get alot more gems to open alot more useless boxes :silly:

I am amazed at players who still slog it out. Even more so at those force maxing their bonus. (Force Maxing - buying items you wouldn't, just to get the max bonus). And I am both amazed and appalled at those buying gems to get all the items.

BVG has reduced the number of "good" new items in the events to the point that its not worth it to me to even try anymore. But so many players are grubbing their yocash for CHANCES to get the few items that they feel matter. That math doesn't add up in my head, but I am not "everyone". Many of my buds that used to do this, no longer do unless the current event is an absolute banger for them. This new way of doing it only adds to that cost in my book.

edit: as for gems prizes I haven't even cashed mine in yet don't really want to after last month every prize is quite pale in comparison ( golf bleh)

Do you mean tiles from Yodepot? I buy around 60 to hit the 80 bonus, mainly for power levelling, so I can level up and get gems bonus when I need it.
After the event ends, I sell them back to get my coins back. I don’t lose any coins doing it this way. Some people might do something similar, but buying 20 dressers at 3k each while editing the gems entry won’t that’s just basic Yo math.
I place my items in empty rooms first to get the room decoration bonus.

If you mean buying YC items while editing a gems entry even if you already have them in a room that’s just a waste. I always use what I already have

There are a lot of players who don't read English well or have small skills when it comes to decorating, they're just trying the only way they know how
As for buying gems thats sometimes the only way some will ever get any prizes and look if they want to thats up to them its hopefully their own credit card and not mummy or daddies

The whole way we are trying to buy anything anymore is horrid and a joke. Most things are way over priced in a deal where you have to buy VIP or yocash daily. Not much goes into the stores anymore. I'm fed up and think it's a shame how greedy BVG's is and also players. I used to log into game to see what I could buy. Now I log in to see what I cant buy.

I wonder if players posted what they actually invested and what the outcome of the investment was if it would help. :?:

If a player spent 80,000 coins on tiles to get full boost .. was the reward worthy of the investment? and vice versa

If a player borrows hairs to get a full boost ... was the reward worthy of the investment and vice versa

If a player spent lots of Yocash and real money buying gamble boxes and cash packages and used those items to get full boost ... is reward worth investment and vice versa

If a player just does a '100 gemmer' is the reward worthy of the investment and vice versa?

I know one time I used tiles to get full boost, it cost me 80,000 coins. I got 4.7 score and when I cashed in the Gems I got a shirt that was a hot selling item. I sold it in the AH for 6,000,000 coins (was cheap compared to others listed). My investment was coins I got from watching ads, my return was huge.

It would be interesting to see what investments versus what return posted. Perhaps it would give BVG a better picture of just how much of an investment is made and they can adjust the rewards accordingly?

I bought a few tiles last decor challenge and used a water feature that I'd bought for 1YC ( was on sale ) for the last challenge
My only spend was the tiles and maybe a few flowers so possibly 70-80k
I got a 5.8 so yeah 30YC back (( sorry))
Normally, I only get the 300 gems and can sell hot items for 500K or more, sometimes hats and dressses for YC too but this time its like the baby faces basically giving items away for 5k I'm still making a profit tho as I sell the tiles back via inventory.
Selling gems prizes in AH is how I make my coins and YC
Ad's have never worked for me EVER !

The 100 gemmers might get a hot item if they are lucky I know I have got some high profit items but yeah golf ugghh can't give the outfits away :haha:
and most don't bother buying 80 tiles tho or put any effort in at all just dump stuff , basically wanting something for nothing
