So as I was narrowing down my list of items I still need for my bakery, I came across this:

Ummmmm. Is this fruitcake a super limited release, like the Menorah hat? I've not come across this rare item before. Obviously, it's been officially crossed off my WTB list (lolol!), but I'd love to know the story behind this little guy. Anyone been playing long enough to remember how this cake came into being?

Is that a new trend? I have a lot of food and pastry decorations, and I'm pretty familiar with the priceguide pricing for most of the items, but this seems ridiculous. I haven't seen ANYTHING even close to this amount for a food item. There has to be a story behind this...

I think it was a release in 08 for christmas but was taken away. I could be wrong though.

Yeah I know they aren't easy to get, not sure about the whole story about them.

I do remember there was a group named the fruitcake club, I think they used to hoard them.

They are rare, thats why its so high in price. Lol!

I believe its so rare, because no one likes fruit cake, so they didnt bother buying it at the time it was in stores :shock:

I'm not sure about this fruitcake but I know there was once the great fruitcake glitch of '08.
It was the rectangular one though.
You couldn't get rid of it no matter what you did.
Which I think was kind of the humor behind the glitch.
