How do I get this thing off?! It's no longer in my inventory, it shows up under "item" as 52811 but doesn't load. Every time I refresh, it's back on me!

Click on yourself, then click on "send to my stuff" works for me.
EDIT missed the part where you mention item number, so no idea

me and my friend experienced the same HILARIOUS glitch. Except we were both on the ridable Snails. Whats funny is you think you take it off, but other people still see you on it. You can remove it, change your handheld and refresh and even if you think it's off, other people will still see you with it. It made for a hilarious day for me once. Could not get rid of the Snail. even gifting it away didn't help. LOL. Finally we realized the only way to make it go away was to clear cache/cookies/history and sign out of facebook and then sign back in. Good luck. . . .
