BVG shouldn't have control over the prices.

Well, if you take a look at it, Price Jacking is the act of manipulating the YoEconomy in order to cause the price of certain items to rise, correct? No one really likes that.

Now, if an item becomes rare enough in order to gradually become expensive over time, then that's reasonable.

I guesss....well then if they had the correct value, it would be perfect, cuz then if pricejacking were to occur-- they wouldn't change it right away

I don't think it's anything they would be interested in doing. And some trades have more than one item in them so you couldn't just do it "automatic". Price Guides that exist don't bother me I use them some to get info not just price info and I use my brain and own experience.

What you really need is a Polygon Price Guide based on the Taurus System!

I imagine a world of no priceguides. Where players have their own minds and buy what they like for what they think is a reasonable price not what some "bible" says is valuable or the next big thing.

I think this would be nice, considering I had a friend @ YoRehab once who said he would Price Jack items for his own benefit and I am sure he wasn't the only one...

Of course there's this too, but unfortunately, in a world full of non-intelligent people that can't think for themselves... it probably won't happen.

That would be ideal but it's not realistic, unfortunately.

Anybody can make a guide, that doesn't mean the players are obligated to follow it.....the old adage "my item, my price" comes to mind.

That would be a conflict of interest.
They 'could' do it. But shouldn't.
