Everyday we have several threads created on here demanding, begging, whining or complaining that the authors want 08's and other rare items to be re-released. These people have lengthy explanations as to why it would be good for the economy or they point out how it would be "fair." We also have speculative threads - threads like was the Celtic Cross ever released or will Pink rets come back.
Some of us are sick of having rumors started and having the forum clogged up with this stuff. It invariably leads to arguments and insults and misunderstandings. Many of us lived through the re-release phase by Zynga and even they did not re-release collectibles and 08 costumes and other rares.

Could you please state exactly what Big V's position is regarding the re-release of 08 costumes, pink rets, cupids bow and other rare or collectible items.

Hey everyone!

As it's been stated a few times in this thread quoting Gary's interview with YoRehab, if any item has officially been released by Zynga in the past we will not be putting it back into the game. Accidental releases such as the Menorah Hat are different, as they weren't an official release.

All of your 08 and 09 costumes, retro specks, and all the other valuable items that have been released before are not going to be re-released. As Gary mentioned, we understand the value of rare items and want to keep it that way.

If you see people posting 'rumor' threads about releases coming tomorrow or next week, if it's not a post from one of us then it's exactly that, a rumor!

I hope this helps clear things up for everyone!

I thought Gary was pretty clear on this whole topic in his interview with YoRehab.



P.S. Zynga did rerelease some 08 costumes in 09. Playboy Bunny, Nurse, Sailor, etc.

I would love to have BVG state their thoughts on this... So many rumors. Frankly I am ready for new stuff. hint hint

yea see everything will be fine, the releasing of items are just for those who were made public by accident, and not everyone had a chance to get it or were forced into the game

YBL, it was clear to me but some refuse to either read it or accept it and it is obvious to me they will keep nagging and creating rumours about it. I exhausted myself copying that part of the interview and attaching to those threads.

I thought they did put it to rest saying it is "unlikely" that anything most of us had the chance to buy would be rereleased. Whether they put it in writing or not, it seems we will always see these silly threads.

ok... but, collectables cannot be released, as they are collectables, but the bow, celtic cross, they are not collectables... and all those items are open game to release, every time something is removed from stores, it is removed temporarily, to make room for new stuff, but is said, the stuff may return....

what about FG items?? costumes and stuff... will they be deleted?? or is it only elite that get to have items not supposed to be in the game????

Most of these threads aren't created because they really want to know...they are created for the sake of creating and to unleash the drama that will inevitably ensue! lol

What elite? The people who purchased f/g are not elite in my book. If they knew what they were buying, they are cheaters.

with all this, keep in mind, gary himself said about the shiny pants, that if price gouging happened, he would bring back the pants... having said that, opens up a whole new can of worms.. right??? can't have that special attention on only 1 item... not fair... if they gouge the bow (and it is, more FG bows in game than real) then maybe bringing it back will drop prices... no?

But you are not understanding those were zyngas words. Zynga does not own the game anymore and Bvg has stated it different. Did you read?

No he knows the rarity of old items. He said himself

why not let them do what they need to do? Seriously. These threads are as bad as the rumor threads sometimes. I feel sometimes like both sides of the silly argument can't read and choose to interpret BVG's words to suit their own needs.

Ok you are obviously upset about the people running around in F/G costumes - particularly those who brag about it and refuse to see the error in what they did. I don't like it either. I wanted those removed. Big V has to decide what will happen with them. They said they are looking into making it obvious to the viewer if the item someone is wearing is f/g. I would be satisfied with that.
Do not equate that subject with legitimately acquired rares or with whatever Gary is doing with his pants.
