No pics to post or anything but wanted to suggest some ideas for houses. The house from The Amityville Horror would be great or at least make the houses this year so that we can change the outside ground and wallpaper without having to use tiles. Every house I can recall these past few years has been difficult to edit the outside structure because the pre-made features like pillars , porches ect. all bleed through the tile in critical areas. Would also like to possibly see some roof tile or just different style roofs in general that would could use that way I don't have to use 5000 pillows as roof tiles anymore.

I suggested this Frankenstein theme in the previous suggestion thread but I was too late to make the poll. I'm not sure whether this idea counts as traditional or spooky. Maybe both? :?:

Anyway... Only five images?! This is going to be hard. I spent so many hours collecting these! :silly:

YoWorld hasn't dedicated a theme to Frankenstein as far as I know, so this idea is long overdue, yes? Frankenstein could also be included in the Classic Hollywood Horror theme that Katherine suggested.

This is a sort of Realm of Shadows redux. Lair of the Necromancer! It'd be set in a passage tomb like Knowth. There'd be four rooms, plus a long hall/passage and outside. The rooms would be a living room/study/work room all in one, a ritual room, a kitchen, and a bedroom. You could have an interactive pile of bones that gets up and forms a skeleton warrior guard ready for battle as one of the NPCs.

Knowth is famous for a beautiful flint mace head found inside. Image

Also for a stone basin in which the mace head was found. (This could be part of the ritual room?
Image

Here's the outside, but make it a night with a full moon! (Red hued moon? Or a Harvest moon which is orangey?)
Use this one for survey!
Image

The rocks are carved.
Image

Image

Here's the inside. You could make different neolithic/megalithic rock carvings for us to personalize our halls.

Image

Use this one for survey!
Image

Here's a diagram of what the rooms would look like. (Not Knowth because I wanted bigger rooms.) Image

Fashion (Ignore the magenta purple! The clothing could be any other color!)
Image

He's standing in a basin of blood and raising skeleton minions!
Use this one for survey!
Image

Image

The hands!
Image

Image

Again, the hands! (Her hands I mean, not the damned souls! Though those are awesome new hand poses are always welcome!)
Image

Image

Image

We'd need both hands and spells for this costume!
Use this one for survey! Just mention the colors would be different! Not purple and teal! On my screen it's indigo blue and turquoise though.
Image

Posting mainly for skeletons!

The first two pictures are perfect examples, the second two not so much. Give us creepy, spooky, gory HALLOWEEN. Haunted items, Houses with more than a few simple rooms and more than one basic outdoor area that don't cost a ridiculous amount of YC (like these tiny simple houses that do.) I'll gladly pay old YC house prices (30YC+) for old house quality houses (Haunted Castle, 2009 Haunted House etc.) NO MORE CUTESY STUFF PLEASE unless it is a specific thing like Peanuts Great Pumpkin, or Hocus Pocus. Maybe bust out some Munsters, more Addams Family, more of The Shining would be AMAZING, The Haunting Of Hill House. You could do more than two themes (3 themes, 6 weeks? Two full themes and two mini themes, 6 weeks?) even, one being a "Traditional Halloween" theme and one being Halloween movies/shows, and one or two being horror/scary/sci-fi movies/shows etc. There is no reason we have to have only two weeks of themes. I'm sure even people that don't care for Halloween might like the movie/tv show bits like The Great Pumpkin or The Twilight Zone. IMO this would make an epic Halloween season.
As far as the Spooky and Traditional Halloween themes go, I kind of think maybe they don't need to be separate cohesive themes per say. Halloween itself has decor and costumes all over the pace. This is what really feels like a true Halloween theme to me. Like shopping at Halloween stores IRL.

Yes I understand you can't just do the movies and shows directly, but these themes could be inspired by them.
Also none of these pics are mine, I googled them all.

YES! That's why my theme idea is really no theme. Just random items from everyone's ideas, something for everyone. Just like you are going shopping at stores in real life for Halloween. We could go one year without a strict set theme imo. :D

Not sure if it's suited for Halloween, but I´d love to have a Gothic Wedding party, or a Handfasting ceremony.

Omg, you hit the nail on the head!!!! I absolutely LOVE these!!!!!

Autumn Glory (105171200) wrote:I would love another round of Paranormal stuff BUT I would like a haunted Gothic house without the high-tech equipment. The house should be dark and appear abandoned
but you know someone or something is living there....

    House possibilities:

The interior living area needs to have a dramatic staircase that ghosts can float down for effect:

    Image
    Image

The hallway needs to be foreboding....you never know what will come out of the walls!

    Image
    Image

    Room possibilities:

We MUST have a haunted nursery!

    Image
    Image

A dramatic staircase leading to the attic that has a balcony!

    Image
    Image
    Image
    Image

I guess we also need normal rooms.....

    Bedroom, kitchen and library options:

    Image
    Image
    Image

    A dark backyard:

    Image

These pictures give an idea of the feel of the theme. It should be done in a gothic style and it needs to be dark with items that look old and well used.

We need a soundtrack with sounds of creaking and slamming doors, maniacal laughter, voices whispering, the sounds of footsteps and creaking floors, random screams sounds of someone crying/sobbing, owls hooting, thunder booming, and wolves howling.

    We need:

    * sheet-covered furniture
    * paintings that hang slanted
    * ghosts that look like they are coming out of the walls.
    * floating items for different rooms, maybe floating then dropping to the floor. (pillow for bedroom, plates or cups for
kitchen, doll or toys from nursery....etc)
    * Animated ghosts that appear and disappear that can be placed anywhere
    * Mirror that when you click on it a figure appears behind you
    * Windows with cracked glass and ghostly images on them.
    * Gothic windows that are big and animated with lightening
    * Chairs that slide by themselves.
    * slow-moving white orbs
    * shadow people
    * frightening ghosts or demons that crawl out from under furniture
    * scary dolls and haunted toys
    * empty beds where the covers pull back slowly

I second the voodoo, and I know it's very inaccurate to portray voodoo in this fashion--it's cool. A touch of New Orleans voodoo, with more of a Baron Samedi than the voodoo guy from "Live and Let Die". An above-ground cemetery with the white marble graves. St. Louis #1? A Marie Laveau vs. some dark voodoo practitioner?
