I've been to many concerts so far, but I'd have to say that my favorite was the One Direction concert! On October 3, 2014, I had the opportunity to see One Direction in Tampa. I have always been such a huge fan, even to this day. I was so overjoyed to be there, I was crying! There will never be another concert like theirs! :wailing:

:D :D February 6, 1972 at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, CA. I was 14 years old and so in love with the Osmond Brothers. This was not only my first concert, but it was the most emotional concert I've ever been to. Seeing the Osmond Brothers live was even better than a dream come true. Hearing their music in person rather than off the radio or the record player was magical. I've seen The Osmonds many times since that first time. They are always amazing. But to this day I've never seen anything that meant as much to me as seeing them that first time. The memory of that night still gives me goosebumps.

[quote="Viking Jess"]Hey YoFans,

The arrival of our YoStock (YS2017) theme has got our Viking team curious...

We bet that YoFans have been to some killer shows over the years. We wanna hear about 'em! And we wanna give out some sweet YoCash prizes too ;)

Just post your concert memories in the thread below before Monday, August 21st at 11:59am EDT. After the deadline, we'll choose 20 YoFans with concert stories, and the winners will receive 20 YoCash each!

So, YoFans... What was the best concert that you've ever been to?

Alright, so in case you haven't heard of Vans Warped Tour, it is a concert with all sorts of rock, metal, and alternative bands. It has both famous bands and bands that are trying to make a name for themselves. It happens EVERY SUMMER, since 1995. This year was the first time that I have gone with my mom. Unlike my dad, she actually danced around and jumped around when we were at the stage for a band called I Prevail. We ended up getting money to spend to buy band merchandise. I thought it COULDN'T get any better. I was already having a lot more fun that usual. And then IT HAPPENED. Something that has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. My mom went to the Reverse Daycare center where the parents can go in the ac and hang out while their kids can go to the shows in the hot sun, on the asphalt. There I was, outside of the Reverse Daycare Center. This woman walked up to me saying "I work for Vans Warped Tour and we don't have enough help right now, would you like to come back and help me feed all the bands their dinner? You get to meet everyone who comes for dinner and talk to everyone. I asked my mom to "run off" and go help and she said YES. While there, I met this one guy in a band and lots of workers for warped tour. The guy in the band stood next to me, the singer of this band trying to get known, stood next to me, he heard me singing and he sung BACKUP VOCALS for ME! I thought it couldn't get better, but I didn't know which all bands I'd get to meet or how many, well the answer turned out to be 4. I only didn't get to meet 4 of the bands. I met Jule Vera, Watsky, CKY [don't know their music yet, BUT THEY ARE SO FRIENDLY,] Hawthorne Heights a band I've known about for YEARS, Futuristic, Attila [the band I bought a CD of last year, but didn't meet them then,] The Night Of [pretty cool people,] Dance Gavin Dance, Beartooth, Neck Deep, Hands Like Houses, Memphis May Fire [listened to their music on repeat a few years ago,] Save Ferris, Our Last Night [this band is so friendly, asked them their favorite part of being in a band and it is to bring people together and how the lyrics can make people feel something,] Bad Cop/Bad Cop, The Artarls, Municipal Waste, TSOL, Valient Thorr, Riverbed Gamblers, The Adolescents, Sick Of It All, Poeta, War on Women [these ladies are really cool,] Sonic Boom Six, Barb Wire Dolls [this band fangirled over me, they kept saying that I am so cute/pretty and how they love my personality, one of my favorites that I met,] The White Noise, Alestorm, William Control, Candiria, Counterparts, Silent Planet, Stick to Your Guns, Fit For a King, Hatebreed, blessthefall [I know some of their music they are super cool people,] Being As an Ocean, Sylar, Silverstein, Too Close to Touch, Hundreth, Sworn In, Emmure, The Acacia Strain, After the Burial, Carnifex, GWAR, Movements, Farewell Winters, tiLLie, Creeper, Mothersound, Shattered Sun, Feeki, Boston Manor!, Trophy Eyes [they are very chill, really cool,] The Gospel Youth, Knocked Loose, Microwave [asked why that's their name, they were drunk,] and then the last band, the one I got to sit down and eat dinner with, Stacked Like Pancakes. I ate mashed potatoes with a band called Stacked Like Pancakes. To make it even better, I got 12 autographs! I also got INVITED to help out AGAIN NEXT YEAR. BEST EVER!

My first concert was ZZ Top and they had an awesome laser light show. I enjoyed the concert from the main floor just 5 rows back and weed was being passed up and down the rows. Best concert ever!

The best concert I ever saw was in 1981 when I saw Loverboy at Red Rock Amphitheater. We were young and wild and the concert was awesome but I had to laugh when I saw Loverboy at an event in Denver and my husband started laughing and said can you smell the BEN-Gay.. :haha:

The. Best. Concert. Ever. Sike. Just kidding. Basically, I was at a music festival to see the one and only Lana Del Rey. It was called the Ohana Music Festival. I went with my friend and slept over the night before so we could wake up at 4 A.M., and drive 2 hours to get there. We chilled in front of the gate from 6 A.M. until 1 P.M. when they finally let us in. In the meantime, we made friends and what not. Right when the gates opened, everyone bursted in running trying to get the front row. My friends and I made it to the 2nd/3rdish row. We stood listening to artists we did not know for I believe more than 6 hours, keep in mind it is too crowded to sit, so my legs were dead and I was getting sunburnt and I had no food. However, strangers and I drank water together. By 8 P.M. Lana finally comes out. Everybody suddenly starts pushing trying to get to the front and I was being pushed against everybody around me. Lana starts singing and everything and I'm recording her and singing along having fun, but then I start to have a panic attack because I could not breathe nor move. This kind girl got the securities attention and carried me over the bars to the front of the stage. That is where Lana and I met eyes. Holy poop. However, I was carried out to the Medical tent to be taken care of. They fed me and made me drink juice which was amazing because I was starving. Oh I also got in a fight because a girl pushed my friend. But honestly, I do not regret anything. I may have been suffering but it was the best night ever. That was the second time I saw Lana Del Rey and let me tell you, her fans can get vicious. At one point somebody was pulling my hair, but lets not talk about that. I did have fun though from listening to Lana sing like an angel and seeing her so close to me, in front of me. I will never forget that day. It was a wild ride but I'm glad it all happened that way and I had so much fun. :heart:

I had went back Home to Shreveport La, Just to see Troop, OMG :heart: I had such a big crush on those young men especially the short lead singer with his cute jerry curl.... AnyWho while waiting for the them to come out I haven't eating anything all day and the people was pushing and shoving on the floor. I was right there at the front where those divider things were. The crowd was squashing me and I gotten light headed and fainted. The guards picked me up and took me to the back where the firefighters squeezed something in my nose Heck i don't know what it was but it awaken me and they gave me some gator aid. Guess what Guys... I had to listen to My favorite group from behind the scene back stage. But Hey it's all good, Because I got Autographs....hehe Wow that was a while back ... A moment I will never forget :D :star:

Although my heart screams seeing Panic! At The Disco in concert was the best I'd have to say my first concert was the best. I saw All Time Low and Sleeping With Sirens with my best friend on October 28th, 2015, right after my 18th birthday. :party: :hug: We bought GA tickets for about $23 and drove 3 hours to Seattle to see them! We showed up super early and got to be in the very front. The bands were all amazing, even the two that I had never heard of. The guitar player, Jack and I had made eye contact and he posed for a picture while playing LMAO I swear my heart melted :haha: :heart: It was an unforgettable night with my best friends and the bands rocked! The night was full of tears, laughter, smiles, and lost voices! People threw bras onto the stage and Jack hung them on his microphone! The band was so interactive and my smile never left my face! :D Best night ever! :night:

I saw Bob Dylan back in 1990. My boyfriend at the time was working at a pawn shop and one of the guitar players on the tour came in to check out their guitars. He was pleased enough to offer tickets and backstage passes. The owner couldn't make it, so Ted and I got to go. I don't even remember the opening act because we were backstage. We sat and had some very nice drinks. Then Bob Dylan came in, with a friend of his in a wheelchair. He was, um... totally lit. Ted couldn't help smirking and Dylan asked what was so funny. You can't really answer with "I met Bob Dylan and boy was he stoned", so he just said "life." I had the backstage pass sticker on my jeans and wore them to class the next day. My teacher had been at the concert, but not backstage. Classic.

One of my many concert experiences was Black Sabbath at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland on Friday August 20th 1999 at 7:30 PM ticket price $61.00. Getting to shake hands with Ozzy as they performed is one of my all time favorite memories. As was being drenched with a bucket of water by The Godfather of Heavy Metal. Going home with a half dozen Tony Iommi guitar picks in my pocket was a great bonus. The weather, songs, audio, visuals and the crowd was just great heavy metal rock n roll times one hundred that night.

All of this came about on the day I went to purchase tickets at my local Ticketmaster ticket counter and was told the best available seats were front row! A couple days later after my front row purchase I got a call from Ticketmaster with a message left on my answering machine. There was a mistake on their part and that the tickets were originally suppose to go to a radio station for a contest giveaway and that I needed to call back and exchange for tickets elsewhere in the venue.

In my mind they made the mistake and I wasn't going to give up the opportunity to miss out on being front row for one of the best bands ever. So I never called back, kept the tickets and had one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my lifetime. Front row and headbanging to the one the only Black Sabbath: Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill. I am Iron Man!

I have to say my first concert was the best ever. Well, aren't the first times in your life the best? ;) My older sister and her boyfriend invited me to go to the Three Dog Night :dog :dog :dog concert in Nashville back in the early 70's. Yep, you read that right!! :quiet: I was 14 years old (OK, OK, stop doing the math!!) and SOOOO excited to see my favorite group playing LIVE... and we were seated on the floor near the stage. They were awesome!! Classic rock, old school. They were popular just after the era of Woodstock, so how fitting is this tribute to them with YoStock theme launching today? :D :star: :love: Click here for a sample of their hits!! https://youtu.be/LzNG3DWg8Z8

I've seen Billy Joel 10 times! Each of his concerts is an experience I will never forget. He shaped my childhood and adulthood. I sing every song, I stand up the whole time, and pretty much everyone around me is doing the same thing! His concerts are great, and the experiences are ones, that I will never forget! :star: :star: :star:

My first was to see Ozzy my best friend and I rented a limo and went to the show on our own (Big deal when you are moms and wives lol) Once we found our seat my friend started flirting with the security guy and the next thing I know she is yanking me out of my seat almost carrying down to the front of everyone to the VIP seats and we were eye to eye with Ozzy . Thank God for hot blond best friends hheheheh
