One of the best concerts I've attended was this year on the july 3rd. It was my birthday and I traveled 15 hours from Croatia to Plovdiv,Bulgaria to see Placebo ,which is my favourite band in the world. It was raining before the concert so I got really wet .I waited for 2 hours on the rain so I could get in the front row, but it was totally worth it. I got in the fron row right in front of the stage and Brian Molko (the singer) . Concert was a bit delayed because of the weather conditions, but the rain stoped and as soon as the concert started it was amazing as usual. The audiance was really great ,when it got dark everyone in the audiance turned their flashlights on and started screaming placebo ,it was really nice and they were also touched by the gesture. They came back 3 times to play more songs. I've seen them multiple times but this one was really special to me because it was on my 30th birthday and I was really really happy :) :cake:

An outdoor concert person myself, I've enjoyed seeing the Awesomeness of Beach Boys AND Billy Joel together in (Chapel Hill, NC1975), Chicago; Earth, Wind, and Fire (WPB, FL 2003); Genesis (Philadelphia1980? Perhaps earlier?? Ah, those 70's....lol); (Bad Company 2002 Ft. Lauderdale, FL) While having my souvenir T-shirt signed by lead singer, Paul Young, I asked to hug him, and I also got a very sweet kiss from him. (oooo-la-la, ladies!!! lol) Most surprising of all my outdoor concert experiences unexpectedly happened with my very young kids at the Miami Zoo (circa 1989). Who was playing music surrounded by zoo animals and young families, but the legendary Johnny Winter (long white locks and all!)!! One epic "straight out of Woodstock experience" we will never forget. What I dig the most from outdoor concerts has everything to do with the sweetness of open air and making new friends from other places while jamming and rocking out way past when the stars come out. Pure joy!

I have been to many concerts. I've saw Slayer , Megadeth, Anthrax, Alice and Chains, GNR, Metallica, Kid Rock to name a few. But my favorite most stand out concert was Metallica in Greensboro NC, 3 hours of none stop head banging and it was back in the 90s when their music was AWESOME, they had no opening act, so the whole show was METALLICA!!!! WOOHOO Miss my headbanging days.. :smug:

I have so many. And Jimmy Eat World always goes down as the best. Hands down. They are such a great touring band, and you can tell Jim is a perfectionist who wants everyone to leave with a great concert experience. You can tell they care about that. Got to meet them a few times too. They are super nice guys.

But one of the most surprising experiences was when out of the blue Kishi Bashi jumped off stage and crowd surfed WHILE playing a violin. Nothing quite like a surprise.

To answer your first sub-question. Never stage dived myself. Helped a many crowd surf tho.

I have been to quite a few concerts but the one I enjoyed the most would be Roger Waters Pink Floyd. The big screens with unusual pictures that went with each awesome song. Lighters of course were included in the crowd. Many colors of the beams of lights dancing to the music put you in a zone a pure out of this world feeling that only Pink Floyd can bring! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

The best musical I went to was Totem by Cirque Du Soleil! Such cool costumes, dance movements, effects and music! In fact I enjoy musicals with a great performance and effects. It makes the show almost magical. Celebrity concerts are good but nothing beats the magic of theatre shows. Usually my anxiety makes me afraid to go to public places with lots of crowds, but the idea of a theatre is worth it for me. The performers work so hard on their acts and they definitely deserve a 5 star from me! :star:

My favorite memory of a concert subject....
Back in the ole days.. I was managing my sister and BIL's laundromat. There was this rocker type guy in doing his laundry. I was at the window of the office, and he was on the pay phone ( thats how long ago) trying to line up a cab ride and having trouble getting a ride asap. So he came to the window and said.... Hi! My name is Scott Page and I am the sax player for Pink Floyd!!!! I was like OMG!!! They were playing at our civic center that evening. He says.. no big deal.. ( yeh sure!) So me and my brother in law closed up the shop and gave Scott Page a ride to the civic center in downtown Hartford. When we got into the truck and started up... the tape player was playing a Pink Floyd tape.. and Scott was thrilled lol. :D So he gave us free tickets and met him at the front gate.. where he then took us back stage to meet everyone. I have to say.. What a great concert and experience! :D

I live on an Island in Canada. Sad to say I'm 41 years old and never been to a concert yet! I want to go so bad but the thoughts of the crowd that is going to be there over whelms me I like reading the stories here I'm sorry mine isn't interesting or at least fun but maybe one day I'll over come the anxiety and make it to a live concert (not one on television). I do watch them all the time with smile on my face or up dancing to the the lovely music from the singers but it is all from the safety of my home. I hope every one has a wonderful day and good luck in this contest... :smug:

Last summer I went to a Panic! at the Disco and Weezer concert and I had the time of my life! The area was packed and everyone was dancing the entire night, it was such an awesome show to attend! Another favorite of mine was the One Direction concert in Buffalo, NY. Over 38,000 fans, it was truly one of the best nights of my life!

The Best Concert for me was a few (count many) years back when the movie Taxi was being filmed in Baltimore, Md. We were able to get tickets to a Jerry Lee Lewis/Fats Domino concert! The whole concert was just outrageous, and yes they played every one of their hits!! First out was Fats, and he kept looking my way and waving and i couldnt figure it out! At one point he calls out, Hey Danny, looks like you lost your 1st row seat!. As I was in the 1st row, center stage, i kinda looked over my shoulder to see who he was talking to and there was the star of Taxi, Danny DeVito! My friend and I got into a dance party with Danny, and ended up with his, Fats, and Jerrys autographs! The old town seriously did some old time Rock and Roll that night!!

My favorite concert memory is not my favorite concert. I was at an outdoor concert watching Enrique Iglesias. It was a super hot day in Houston. In the middle of a song he seen a little girl in the concert that must of looked over heated. He never missed a word while he signaled his security to get the little girl. He had them bring her up on stage and he personally gave her some bottled water. When his song was over he had the girl reunited with her family and had them all brought back stage. He sang every single note. My husband was not a fan of his until that moment. He was pretty incredible.

Our country is going through a difficult period. The government established the fear empire under the administration of the extreme religious party. The artist we went to concert was a republican person who opposed this plan and we thought that people could not come from fear, but on the contrary it was a big participation. The artist and us had a happy and sad concert.

In 1971 attended a concert at Bosse Field in Evansville, In to see THE DUBBY BROTHERS. So many folks there that the gate was swarmed and the police were called and tear gas was set off....ran like crazy until it settled down and entered very carefully. Sat on our coolers and listened to the best concert ever. :D

My best concert experience was when my aunt basically kidnapped my brother and me, (we are both adults), to go to a 100 monkeys concert with her. She wanted to go just because the lead singer, Jackson or jasper, was in those twilight movies and the moment she saw his face she freaked out. She started screaming and tried to nicely get past people but when that didn't work she just used her 360lb butt to pushing people and get to the front while dragging my brother and me behind her. After their set we went back and sat down somewhere without a lot of people. Then when 100 monkeys came back on she jumped up, throw me over her shoulder, grabbed my brother's ankle, and ran back to where the stage was but she couldn't get past the people. After a few moments of thinking she decided that one of the thinner people should try to get past to see what was happening. My brother volunteered but couldn't get past. Then my aunt said "You're getting past!" and grabbed him, spun around, then threw him in the direction of the stage where he disappeared into the sea of people. He didn't come back and after two more songs my aunt did the same to me, (without my consent). I landed face first between the stage and the guard rail where security grabbed me and throw me out with my brother. We sat outside for a couple hours until security dragged my aunt out. Apparently she had gotten back to the front, grabbed Jackson's or jasper's' leg, and tried to pull him off stage which she got kicked out for. We drove home and all agreed that it was the best concert.

My most memorable outdoor concert was Duran Duran for the third time on July 5th 2009 at the Marymoor Moore Park in Redmond Washington. My sister who lived in Seattle at the time gave me the best birthday present ever to celebrate one of those special decade birthdays by flying me out first class for a few days. I had never been on first class and the food was fabulous. We had tiny hummus Pita pockets as an appetizer and they were so good that when I heard coach that was their main meal that I actually wanted that as my main meal. We spent the day before the concert on Lake Union looking at houseboats, actually catching a glimpse of a boat that said Rum Runner which is the club Duran Duran got their start. Also we tried finding the the boat from the show Deadliest Catch but failed. We watched the 4th of July fireworks on the lake. So the next evening was the concert. We sat out on the lawn in chairs watching the concert and singing along to the songs and simply having a blast. also I got a cool t-shirt there that I love. It's one gift I will always treasure and remember.

.My best concert experience was back in 1997 Micheal Jackson. He sang you are not alone and they chose a random girl and he was so humble and nice and allowed her to hug him and kiss him on the cheek. He kept singing the whole time and that was a unforgettable moment and vibe in the air. So sad to see him gone so soon. But this was best concert experience ever

I've only ever been to about three concerts in my entire life, but out of those three concerts that I've been to I would of picked Macklemore at the Minnesota State Fair in 2013 with one of my closest friends.

A friend & I were given free tickets to see him live at the coliseum about 4 years ago and it's definitely a time that I will never forget about.

They preformed one of there biggest songs ''Same Love'' which made everyone super emotional in the crowds, and the song is so inspiring to many people in the world.
