I'm not sure if this fits best into forum games, but I thought this would be a fun idea. Share a family recipe, or just a recipe you like on this thread. If you try someone else's recipe, be sure to let them know how much you liked it! :D

Here's my Great Grandma's Pumpkin bread recipe. It is one of the best desserts ever, and we make it every year for Thanksgiving.

"Mamaw's Pumpkin Bread"

INGREDIENTS:
2 Cups Canned Pumpkin
4 Eggs
1 Cup Oil
1/2 Cup Water
2 Cups Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
3 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg OR Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 1/2 Cup Golden Raisins
1 Cup Walnuts.

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, eggs, oil, and both sugars. Mix well. Then add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg/pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon, mixing well. Lastly, add water, nuts, and raisins. Mix well. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans, and bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Enjoy.

Yum Laney sounds good! Here's a Pumpkin Lasagna dessert...it is SINFULLY delicious! :hug: :D

Layered Pumpkin Lasagna Dessert

Ingredients

Crust layer
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter , softened
3/4 cup pecans , chopped

Cream cheese layer
8 ounce package cream cheese , softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Cool Whip , thawed

Pumpkin layer
2 1/2 cups milk
3 small packages white chocolate instant pudding
1 can (15 oz) Pure Pumpkin
1 cup Cool Whip , thawed
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Whipped cream topping
1 cup Cool Whip thawed
1/2 cup pecans , chopped

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350ยบ. In a medium bowl, combine flour, butter and 3/4 cup pecans.
Press mixture into the bottom of a sprayed 7" x 11" baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar. Add 1 cup Cool Whip and spread on top of cooled crust.
In a large bowl, mix milk, pudding mixes, pumpkin, 1 cup Cool Whip and pumpkin pie spice until smooth. Spread on top of cream cheese mixture.
Spread another cup of Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with remaining pecans.
Chill for at least 3 hours, until set.
