oh that sounds amazing... ive seen this trend called "Christmas crack" which is saltine crackers covered in butter and toppings that I really wanna try!
Image

My SIL made this last year! Since cookies are my thing she decided to make the Christmas Crack. It was huge hit and the jokes were abundant :haha: Highly recommend

OH wow ty for sharing!
I make this but without the crackers.
It just like peppermint bark but other toppings!
So I melt the chocolate, spread it on parchment paper on a baking sheet and while the chocolate still hot cover the top of it with crushed candycanes for the peppermint bark or some with heath bars crumbs or M&M's. Then you place the tray in the freezer. When it frozen you take something and smack it to break it up into pieces. I usu use a knife or rolling pin. Then I place it in cute bags. Very easy treat!

I was crying around I wanted homemade chili today so my boyfriend sent the ingredents to my apartment hehe.
I am going to go start cooking it soon!
I love chili.
I brown the meat with garlic, half of a cut onion, some jalapenos and chili seasoning with a touch of butter.
Then I use diced and whole canned tomatoes and a bunch of beans including the white ones and add the meat mix with cumin, more garlic and some more chili seasoning and a bit of tomato paste and a few more jalapenos. Let it cook for 6 hrs on low. It comes out sooo good!
Then I bake homemade prezles for dunking!
Yay chili weather!!

Hi, everyone, how is it going?

I am not doing much today but I am watching cooking videos to collect points. It was initially attractive, but now it's on mute as I need to focus on my writing. I am also waiting for my phone to charge so that I can play music.

I haven't had the desire to cook the last couple of Thanksgivings, but I still get asked to make cranberries (which I do enjoy making) and this year I have been asked by my daughter to please make pecan pie as well.

I just want to thank you again Pat for this thread. It truly has been helpful for me to come here and read everyone's comments and to be able to share a little bit too.

im the opposite, I always look forward to cooking on thanksgiving. My youngest sister would sometimes make a side dish in the past but she's much more busy now!

do you mind sharing your cranberry recipe? :) we buy the canned version in my house :haha:

Oh, it's super easy. It's on the back of the Ocean Spray cranberry bag. Each year though I try to add a different flavor or spice to it. It's so versatile. We don't don't do canned :)
Usually I do look forward to cooking, but it just isn't enjoyable for me anymore.

I definitely need to binge-watch Hell Kitchen again :haha:

I am still stuck on Kitch Nightmares. I remember seeing the episode when they came to Tennessee, and my mother was like double hockey sticks, no.

My chili came out soooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!! I totally sent pics to tease my boyfriend with it lol.
I want to make eggrolls this wk!
Even if you fry food making it at home is a lot healthier and I find more affordable so I have learned to copycat everything
I am totally craving eggrolls now!

Oh I actually think we picked up a bag of ocean spray cranberries once but we tried to eat them raw...obviously it was a terrible, terrible idea :haha: we were young and didn't know much

I'm not a fan of red chili except on chili cheese fries. I prefer white chili with chicken or turkey.
