yeah getting old changes us so much-I was at the eye dr and she said oh my your eyes are very dry-not sure if I had mentioned this but she said when we get older and we all do-we lost moisture everywhere (that's where vicks comes in handy for our dry feet too) so our eyes also get drier as we age so it's best that I use a eye drop for dry eyes-thought tears make them less dry but nope age makes them dry up too-so now I take the eye drops daily along with a little cream she gave me-altho after the cream its foggy so i gotta use this before bed...ackkkkkkk I'm beginning to show my age!!!

and did I mention I did get new glasses-redish burgunyish and I look good in them......I did NOT know about the new blue tint???????
well she asked if I used a laptop and cellphone and I said yes,so she said she would add this new blue tint which is mainly put into the glasses to help with the lighting of laptops and phones so its better for our eyes..this is all new to me but hey science comes up with these things

lesson learned------ you're never to old to learn something new :D

Ugh Jo, I hear you on the getting older! I have noticed my eyes are very dry, especially in the mornings. And I need to pick out a pair of glasses, but I hate the way I look in them. I'm fortunate that I don't need glasses for distance but the need for up close is getting more and more frequent. I have a bunch of cheap readers, but I need a set of progressives I can wear at work. I actually work in an optical and seeing the screws on frames now is darn near impossible!

:haha: Mailing me a snowball reminds me of a funny story. I used to smoke a long time ago. Bad habit I started in high school. I had several friends over 18 if I ever had trouble buying cigarettes, but I started college when I was 17 and didn't know how easy it would be to get them. So I go to get my mail and a friend from home had sent me a letter (yes this was before email and cell phones :haha: ) and he included one single cigarette loose in the envelope. I smoked it, but that was stalest cigarette I ever had :haha:

I am sitting here this morning with my bottle of water instead of coffee because I have to do fasting blood work. I'm so not looking forward it as I'm a really tough stick. What usually happens if the first person tries the arm they deem best after several minutes going back and forth trying to find a vein. They miss, then want to try the other arm. Sometimes successful buy often they have to call over someone else to try. Usually, they can get it. It's a good thing I've gotten better at having my blood drawn. When I was a kid, it would make be throw up. Then for a long time I had to have them lay me down so I wouldn't pass out. Better now!

Its almost like my veins disappear as soon as I sit in their chair :haha:
Most of the time they have to get an ultrasound machine to find mine, terrible, really.

I hope you're doing okay

Its more than likely going to be very hot here (Summer in Australia) so lots of prawns, lobster etc for me, and probably an evening at the beach *trying* not to get burned :haha:

I am happy to see all of the participation with this contest. This is the way it used to be in the day. Thank you all. Keep them post coming.

Jo, I agree with you, getting older sucks. I don't consider myself old yet, just maturing gracefully, lol.
