Sooooo, I jacked it, pinched it, lol w/e, but I'm stealing it (with her permission) Snow's "Birthday Posting Contest", renamed it a "Snow-Day Posting Contest" lol. (Wanted to do one, loved hers, and she can get a chance to win on this one too!!)

Hi, Hello, Good morning, good afternoon and goodnight to wherever you may be around the world. Just thought this was a great opener lol so kept it :D

Contests are awesome and fun, and I really don't post them, but I should because I love giving stuff away lol

Ok here's the prizes:

1st place: 25 YC, 4 Mil
2nd place: 15 YC, 3 Mil
3rd place: 10 YC, 2 Mil

:drink: There will be a few consolation/honorable mention prizes as well! :drink:

Winners will be chosen according to the magical spin wheel, the more you post, the more chances you get.

This contest will run until August 14th and prizes will be given on August 15th. I have never hosted one of these contests (either lol) but I really love them  so I guess, have fun? :D

Please no rudeness, you know that the magic of posting contests is that we can all get to know each other better and talk about things happening in our daily lives, SO, enjoy, enjoy and have the best weekend.

 Have fun everyone and let's do like we did before, let's get chatty!!

This weekend I went to a baby shower for my neice who adopted a baby girl 6 years ago because she couldn't get pregnant, they tried for 5 years after they got married. She's pregnant now, lol, and they weren't even trying! She waited until the 3rd trimester to get excited, she's almost 8 months gone. Mama doin good baby doing good, Im sooooo happy!!!!! :D :D :D :D

First time I saw it I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do either but I get now it's all about interaction. It enables communication between Yos to take place. Share something about you and your day and comment on somebody else's post.

Ooo wow! What a blessing Pepsi! Congratulations!

Best things always came to me when I wasn't even trying :haha:

Wishing you all the health and happiness to you and your family

Tell us how the baby shower was! It's not a tradition we've got here in Greece so I'd love to know about it.

I’ve never joined these types of contests before because I’ve been too shy to talk but I want to try now! congratulations on the baby in your family, Pepsi! It must be an exciting time for everyone to have a new member incoming, I have no doubt the baby will be very loved! That was the case for ours when suddenly my uncle’s wife got preggo, didn’t think I’d have a cousin at all since they were a bit late to try but now we got a beloved little gremlin around lool

congrats Pepsi for the family-I love babies!!! a new life is such a joy!
Bunny!!!!!! oh woman nice you get to now have some fun in a contest-how cool this is your first one-and you're doing it right and relax and have fun with it-I LOVE these kinda chatty get to know you guys more n more..

I got frustrated with Yo earlier so I just shut it down and went to swim and do some chores. I took my time and then went to celebrate my sister's birthday today-I'm feeling alright and now it's August and our summer is half over so I try to get outdoor things done or do things outdoors as long as the weather isn't too hot.

I went and got those cheap mosquito coils that ya burn to keep them away-BUT-when I opened the package and tried to take one apart-they all cracked and broke! Anyone ever had this happen? is there a trick to pulling them apart without breaking them?
Anyone use anything besides spray or off to keep them at bay? lemme know pls n thanks

Congrats on getting to become a great aunt again

I live down a shared driveway with 7 other houses we often leave our front door open to let air in and cause thats just what we do here, anyway two neighbours have dogs one just sits on our front door step but the other dog comes inside and often eats the leftover cat food our cat doesnt eat, so she had puppies end of last year or beginning of this year and yesterday she came inside and so did one of her pups lol

I'm doing great! The heat wave finally broke here, WOW it was hot! Bad thing here, 3 miles from the ocean, it was muggy, muggy muggy, (humid lol).

As far as the baby shower, just a bunch of the family ladies get together and give the expectant Mama gifts and such she needs. But we also play games. My favorite game, we melted like melty-melted, some candy bars, and put the melted chocolate in clean disposable diapers, and we had to try the candy out of the diaper and guess which candy bar it was lol. SO GROSS lol but SO FUNNY!

Thank you for the congrats!

Seya M

There's different contests here, but Snow posted one that everybody loved, it went on for two weeks, and we all just chatted and joked about different topics. Even though it went kinda long, we were all still kinda disappointed when it was over, cuz it was just fun lol

bunny

lol@ beloved little gremlin! When my nephew was born, the first time I saw him, he was wearing a blue hospital baby gown and hat. So I said he looked like a smurf, andddd now he's 32, people still call him Smurf lol it Stuck! :haha:

Now don't be shy, chime in!!!!

TYTYTY!!! Happy bday to your Sis :)

Ok about the coils, you open them from the center, not the edge, you push the center just a tiny bit then pull it out from there. At least that's how I do it.

Do you know anyone who sells Avon? Because believe it or not, Avon Skin So Soft, keeps the mosquitos away. They LOVE me, I am a FEAST for the little buggers. Someone told me about that and I tried it and was just amazed how it worked better, smelled better and everything than like, OFF and all that junk.

Ok So, Jo got me thinking about mosquitos lol

So, mosquitos are just annoying, ants are annoying, I like spiders and won't kill them, if I find one in the house I trap and put it outside, praying mantises are gorgeous, I won't kill a bee unless I have to...(did you know if all the bees on earth disappeared the human race would be gone in 5 years), I used to catch grasshoppers and put them on (ha or throw them AT) my older sisters just to hear them scream LOL!

Now all that being said...

Beetles, I am terrified of beetles. They don't sting, they don't bite, they do nothing except have sticky little feet (I just shuddered like FR lol). If one lands on me, you can hear me scream 100 miles away lol, no idea why but I am absolutely terrified of them.

Tell me about your bug phobia, if you have one!

Ewwww but also :haha: :haha: :haha: Sounds hilarious! It's a tradition we ought to adopt then! Perhaps minus the diapers? :haha: :haha: :haha:

Happy Birthday to your sister JustJo! :cake:

I've been frustrated with Yo ever since the Bardominium theme when those suede photograph dresses were released. You've probably seen my fixation with not wanting any AI/photograph clothes in the game here in the forums. I just don't like it at all. I love the YoWorld type of art we've grown to love and the craft behind making it. So, I don't play as much these days. Canceled my VIP and I'm now only a silver supporter. But I'm still hanging out with friends in-game and designing like crazy for the fashion contest :silly:

A couple of weeks ago we were discussing the same thing with my mom and some family friends. My mum kept insisting that there are two coils in the pack but she keeps burning them as once cause every time she has tried to separate them they'd break. A family friend finally managed to separate them intact but I didn't observe his technique :haha: :haha:

Don't have much time but enjoyed reading everyone's posts so far! Pepsi, thanks for hosting  I eventually fall behind in these, but I'm going to try to keep up this time!

But I must know, what the heck are mosquito coils :eh: I've never heard of them! I do remember using skin so soft when I was little. Definitely way better than the insecticide smelling sprays and it actually does work.

Hope to be back soon to comment on other stuff :D
