I am going to award a second place prize to Stella. I love that visual of a grown son making a mimosa and asking his mommy to hide his easter eggs.

One Easter, my son came home from college and pleaded with me to hide the eggs and basket for him. As he made himself a mimosa , I obliged him, but made sure to up the difficulty factor. I am sure it is one of his favorite memories as well. Off to finish my taxes too.

When I was 12 my family and I went to an Easter Egg Hunt, dont remember much about the Hunt but I do remember that when my Mum took a picture of me when we were there, she had no idea that in my hand that was in my jacket pocket was the cutest little mouse I had found instead of any Easter eggs...which to me, was way better then chocolate at the time.

Another time, our family miniature schnauzer, Angie, beat us to all the chocolate Easter eggs my Mum had hidden throughout the house. Thank God she didnt get sick! It wasnt known back then that chocolate can kill dogs if they eat a lot of it, which she did!

When I was a child my grandma would host her own Easter egg hunt for me and all my cousins. Everyone would get their own color and would have to search around her house to find all of them. Sometimes you would find someone else’s color, but you would have to leave it there for them to find. It was so much fun and I remember how chaotic and exciting her house felt at that time. But just thinking of spring in general, my favorite part about spring has always been watching the flowers bloom and hearing the birds sing.

Back in the 50's and 60's I remember my mom decking us out every Easter I had a frilly dress, little anklets with a lace ruffle, what we called a topper it was a coat.pat & leather shoes a cute little hat and a little purseThe boy's were always decked out in suits.I still have pictures and love to look at them.they bring back so many wonderful memories.

..I had a nice magic little red hat,thats what I cant forget,my first hat..the spring was so warm and bright,the days were absolutely blue ,shiny ,the river was stady and calm,mamy was so pretty ,with her windy ,blue hair and so gentle smile,so beautiful,like newer till then and after...maybe till this moment ...ty for this memorie..hgsss my mom was so preciouse to me...

the memory i had was i wanted my dad home for easter n his job was so buzy i thought the day before my dad wasnt going to be home for easter i was so sad when easter came the next day i seen my easter basket and a big stuffed bunny and i didnt see my dad and my mom was getting the eggs ready to dye them all i thought of was my dad n wanted him to help me dye my eggs sure enough we heard a noise here i was like wats that my mom goes idk might be the easter bunny so i went to look nothing another noise i went to look thought it was my cat and then the door i got up and looked here it was my dad i was so happy excited he got to stay home with us he helped me dye my easter eggs and helped me with the easter egg hunt and helped me with the easter games i won cool easter prizes like a cute stuffy easter chick and a big easter basket i shared my prizes with him i got theses cute doodle bears and we colored them with washable markers and watched easter cartoons the rest of the day my dad even put bunny ears and bell on my cat she loved it but my cat has passed away now i miss her she was my best friend my everything she followed me to school n waited for school to be over to follow me home i cant believe to this day how someone could hurt my cat like that my dad n me cried it was so heart braken 2 men hated my dad n mom always called mobile crisis on us for no reason that my dad said something to them 2 days after easter the 2 men snuck into our yard seen my cat and twisted her neck i couldnt sleep without her i knew something was wrong roody never stayed away she was my shadow she always came home for bedtime cause we always got ready the next day for school she was always there my dad heard a cry noise and a scratch at the door as soon as he opened the door he tryed to help her but it was to late i thought she ran away but me and my brother found her in a crate cause my parents where going to take her in and get her creamated i cryed so bad took her out of the crate and bawled my brains out holding her to my chest thoses 2 men got charged but in the end i realized there are concequess and i believed to this day my kitty left but her new life she was turned into a bunny because every year after that i would see this bunny in our yard and she had orange spots and tiger looking stripes on her she never ran when i went up to the bunny she always hopped at me n my dad said she is playing followed me around when i felt alone thought of my roody that bunny would be there or always show up my cat roody love everything everyone she had a very loving heart all my other neighbors just loved roody roody loved bunnys birds cats dogs hamsters she never attacked them roody was my everything she was a angel a very good friend i could ever ask for my dad got her for me when she was a kitten i loved her so much as she loved me so much i always took her with me everywhere i went my parents loved her and my sister adorded her my brother just loved roody her heart was so gold and loved anyone that came her way she always purred she always cuddled me and licked my face when i cryed she could always tell when i was being bullied and made it right by making me feel so loved i still miss her to this day and always wonder how people could do this to a very wonderful girl that loved everything that came her way rest in peace roody your never forgot i love always ur my everything my true best friend i could ever ask for and i believe god gave you to me for a reason i remember playing barbies with you and you playing tag with me and my siblings and hide seek and when it was bath time how u came up to the tubby and reminded my mom i loved my bubbles and u would play with them and how you showed us to learn to love another i thank you for that i wished u could of lived for ever u where a true best friend i wished everyday you didnt get taken so early u didnt get to be a mom and grandma you were just a teenager who knew to look out for me when my dad was gone at work and thank you for being there for me i thought i would write this because ur birthday is coming up u were my easter baby so happy birthday my roody love you so much
