Viking Jess or any Viking... how exactly does blocking in the game work? I've been threatened by someone and I want to block them as soon as possible to avoid being reported for petty reasons and the possibility of getting banned.

Hi I am the Left Shark! I am not a viking. This is how you block in the game. It takes a big no no to be blocked from the game. No worries. People threaten reporting all the time and no worries hon. Yo WOrld is not PureATory. So this is how you block. You find that threatening person. in Yo World and click on his Avatar, scroll down and block.
you have a block list in the account on top of the game. If you change your mind you can unblock later.
I release all my blocks every Sunday. This way, I keep my doors open and dont burn bridges.
The other way to block is in Fb. If this person is a neighbor you go to their time line and click on the little dots near the LIKE button and message button. the 3 dots are on the left of that. click on it and a drop down menu comes . You can report this person if he has harrassed you . and you can block them
If you block in FB he cannot play the game with you as before. There will be no more coins between you or visits. but he will be a buddy only not a neighbor.
If he bothers you again let me know.
I like white meat on Monday and dark meat on Tuesday. I eat vegetarians on Wednesday. We need our carrots to see better. Thurs-Saturday I eat people who fish. On Sunday I drink wine and eat bread usually a hoagie with someone. Remember, I am the left shark.

I've heard that each time you get reported, BVG will always investigate what happened, by checking the chat log. If you've done nothing wrong then you should have nothing to worry about.

Thank you! I get that part. Heh. But I mean, can the person see you after you've blocked them??

No a person cannot see you after you have blocked them. If they are a viking they can always see you even if you blocked them.
They can however see your "events" but they cannot come to your event but they can see it. they can try to go to it and they will get a message, "this person has blocked you" You cannot go to this event.
