I feel so stupid but I just can't seem to find the edit mode please help! :grr

I tried clicking the triangle etc but nothing!

Hello and welcome to the forums

Edit mode (in decorating) is to press the house icon at the bottom of your game screen. This will enable you to decorate the room, or to attach it to a house or to another avenue if you are in an avenue.
