In the sticky that explains about taking and posting screenshots
Code: Select all
https://forums.yoworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=47529

it says you can upload to imgur, tinypic, or photobucket
Well there is another option Facebook , yes you can upload an image to Facebook , right click the image and open in new tab
copy the image link and paste in it between the codes and it isn't affected by privacy settings either

I mention this as Photobucket seems to be well not working very well any more :eh:

Not to mention photo bucket is having a breach. It gives out your real first and last name and In the forums we are not suppose to use our first and last name. ALl photo bucket needs to be vetted before aperson can post their photo in here as they are not secure with the security settings in photo bucket in it reveals a persons first and last name.
Unless the account is set up to private in photo bucket it reveals the name in these forums. Real names are not used in the forums to the forumers but only the the admins. Therefore it is a breach.

Posting pic using facebook it's a bad idea, because facebok is always changing image urls and later in the post u only can see a broke image icon.
For me, Imgur is the best. And Yoworld selfies images too ;)

I do not think that fb is changing it. I think the Owner of the Page they are posting from is Organizing the picture by putting it in another folder and Poof. SOmeone forgot something.
EEEEEK. so i suppose when you start you leave your folder levels alone. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. lol

Missy, that information was the biggest help to me in an 8 year yolife of grueling upload and download and jumping from here to there into folders out of folders thru folders from here to there and everywhere. I had asked this question 2 years ago in the forums for some help and no one gave me the information I was seeking. I happened upon your feed and it is the greatest help ever.
I have had my YoWorld fb page since 2012. I had made 2 other pages for others and practicing before my own as I am shy. This is the biggest help and unfortunatly no one told me this time saver for 4 years! I suppose we are all learning bits and pieces..
I want to thank you for this information! So yes, it should be updated. I thank you and thank you in my heart every time I see your name. You are now an unforgetable person to me as this saved me 3 hours a day of jumping back and forth and I am more productive with my own pages as well. :D

you can't move a pic on FB , I run like 4-5 diff Yo folders on my FB (rooms and fashions)..and try not to fill them up too much once a pic is in a folder it stays there actually might need to make a new one
I do have Tiny Pic now and I've found that to be faster uploading than FB, and WAY faster than photobucket ...its empty at the moment tho
It didn't want any personal info either Photobucket does I've had my Photobucket for 10+ years

Yes, I am so thankful for you Missy, If you only knew what I have been going through. I have uploaded to my comp, then to page, then to tiny pic. Lord 3-5 times and Im so lost..
Like today. I am trying to post a life picture I am taking on my phone to a Page a Made. I had been posting this to My timeline to Me only. then when I get home post to my page! Oh blagh stupid. Im so slow and retro. blagh. So today, a person at the market shows me where on my phone to upload direct. Oh wonderful that is 259 steps less. right?
You showing me this has saved me 5 hours a day of massive over load on my mind. Here there here there. I lose a lot as my time could not keep up. Oh my gosh I thank you.
Speaking of fb.. we cannot Move that image once you put it in folder. Once you share it, it will disappear if you move the folders. blagh. All my folders named wrong LOL what a massive mess. but it is a beautiful mess.

what is a USB cable. LOL kidding.
I was at a game with a friend and she says. Its free if they have public wifi. then you dont have to pay for it. Use the free one. the one with the "crown."
So many lights flashed in my head at once. It finally clicked.

Facebook sometimes changes their filepaths, but more importantly, your Facebook settings have to be configured so images are able to be viewed publicly to use their hosting.

We can look into it, though! :)

I have used facebook for 8 years and not one image was ever poofed due to their coding. It is more to do with the owner of the image not knowing how than fb changing coding.
Page owners organize and when they do- the shared photo poofs. This is why a web site is important as the top page when using fb as that is ths hard backup! Only using fb is not good if we are using this and thinking to recover anything when we make a mistake. FB has never lost my pictures or changed coding on me. I think they could do it any time as all sites can.
Actually I think fb can clean up a lot if they made all photos adhere to the terms of service using the advertising grid tool. If an image does not comply to the grid and format, it will not be used in fb.
I think if they made this rule, it would get rid of viral crap in one poof.. easy.

ALl pics have privacy settings but if you put in a "public link" that changes the 'friends only' rule. the
is.. Public. right?
