I am guessing it is because the forums were made before vip. And when they were setting up the forums they said ,we can have a supporter system .and so they set it up . When they made vip they didnt go back to forums code and spend time making a system to show that you are vip . but they did give you lots of in game vip perks .Big viking games try to spend their time the best they can . and it may nice and fancy to have a vip icon on forums . it wouldn't be something people really carred about. And so they spent their time on other things . they use surveys to see what people want them to work on and how they can make stuff nice .
