Could somebody either give me step-step directions for changing the floor and wallpaper in a room or point me to the appropriate thread? I know I can do it...I have done it in the past, but can't figure it out.

Hi Molly!! Welcome to the forum!

Click on the Decorate Room Icon (the Red Chair)
Then Click on My Stuff
There are two tabs just under My Stuff: Red for Clear Room and Yellow for Set Walls and Floors
Click on the Yellow tab and your inventory will come up with your existing choices.

If you want to purchase more Wallpapers or Flooring, you must go to the YoDepot. They cannot be purchased from your home.

Also, unfortunately, a few of the newer homes do not have the option to change the floors and walls.

Thank you so much! I just started playing again after a four or five year hiatus and sometimes it's hard to remember how to do things!

How do the floor and wall tiles work? Also the borders? When I played years ago, there was just wallpaper and floors and when you selected one it just covered the entire wall or floor. Thanks in advance for any help.

It still works that way but, unfortunately, not for all homes.

There are floor and wall tiles in the Yodepot that can help patch the black space. Click 'black space' allowed in your room options.

Thank you for the response. I've seen the selection regarding the black space, but when I looked for it again, I didn't find it. It's nice that we are able to use that space now. I guess I need to just keep exploring and see if I can find more wall and floor selections available. I didn't acquire many when I played years ago (yo'ville), and most of what I did have, I gave away. Thanks for the welcome also! I appreciate the forums immensely!!
