Hi Pamela.. so some parts of the challenge is also part of the 'gem challenge. It seems to me they work side by side. if you do your gem challenge first, you will miss out until the next day because the story book is stuppose to go first. Some of us do it out of order like me and end up being later then the rest because we did the gem challenge and then we go to the story book challenge and it asks us to to a gem challenge and we already did it so then we have to wait a day. Once I never recieved my last reward because it just stopped. so if you do it out of order, you miss out and are hosed really. so I suggest to do the GEM challange after you do your story book challenges.

yes a design challenge is doing a gem challenge to dress up or decorate a room in the gem challenge.

to claim a challenge reward you go back to the gem challenge and click on "claim reward" on the left box after you click there you click again on the right whether you won 50 coins 50 + 250 coins or 50 plus 250 coins + yocash. Those you click on one at a time. then you look at top and "OPEN your selected prizes on the next page after clicking on the top 'claim prize" prize.
Sorry for not being in a lot to answer you alls questions. I broke my arm and it has been a huge ordeal for me to heal.
I thought I might even lose my arm as the doctor said the bone was so damaged it turned grey. I thought i was going to have to have a hook. I prayed and left that in my almighty GOD's hands as he has the outcomes to these things and worry is not good for healing.
I have been out of the loop in the forums and I really love the forums.
I also stopped coming in because of some peoples bad belittling attitudes. I did not want this drama that occurs in here to affect my mood and healing as it is I am old and older people do not heal well.
So happy to say, I am healed. The doctor told me I am healed and this is a great relief. I said, well why do I still hurt so much? He said i need to push it and move it. I have been very afraid to move it and the pain is so bad i did not push it. so.. arent you all so lucky as to get my prognosis? Have a good day you all. God is Good..

I thank you so very much for all the help. I did in fact do the Gem challenge first LOL. I will try and go back now, and continue on. I too, missed out on the last (which was my very first ) challenge, due to being in the incorrect order.

im so MAD!!! i have to wait 2 days for mine because I am suppose to do a voting one. well before i do a voting one I have to first do a design one.
that will take 2 days and my last one never counted!!!!!!!!
when you go out of order you might as well forget with this piece of crap.
so far I have not yet completed any of these story books as I forget and go out of order. who did this thing and just plop it in there with no cohesive application? who?
it makes it frustrating.
Ziplocket it pissed off.

Wow Ziplocket, I am truly sorry to hear your frustration,of this challenge, but I completely understand it. I came here to tell you it finally worked for me, just today, but I do have to wait a day to continue on. I do agree in that whom ever put this part of the storybook together didn't think it though far enough.

I am so sorry for you Ziplocket, don't let this game get to you. Do you know how many times I wanted to give up on this storybook, well to many to mention. I must say that if your instructions hadn't worked, I certainly was going to give up on the Storybook, so for this I truly thank you Ziplocket. I hope your Arm gets better, and soon.

Damn, I would like to know why they kept my Animated yoga, during the Bear in the woods challenge, I had no idea thats how it works, or I would have never put that out there, why, why, why??????

its no problem .. I just let the game do its own explosions. Life is way too short to get so upset over a game..
personally I think the people who actually spend in this game think they have ultimate rights to gripe, yell and tell BVG what to do, have an attitude and upset everyone with their high minded ways. They think they pay for that. Not all VIP's act that way. Some of us let go of trivial things and to me this gem is kinda trivial. Its fun though. I really like it.. I just wish it waited a while to allow others to complete the entire thing. I have not completed one yet and Id like that last prize too. lol

Well, I'm happy to hear you do not take it so serious. I am "NOT" VIP, the name stems from another site, I just kept it. I have agree with you in that some VIPS do feel they have control so to speak. This is only my 2nd chalenge although, Ive signed on in 09, an left then come back this late last year. So, my first challenge was offering 10yo cash, of course I didn't have the chance to finish it for lack of knowledge I suppose, but I'm over it an hope I can finish this one. I think I have to wait 2 days also, now 1 day, so we shall see. What is the ending prize? lol oh yes, someow I got paid for the putting an item up for auction, but haven't gotten paid for claiming a rating for design challenge, so its out of order, an I'll wait to see what happens lol.

i have not gotten to the " furniture outside challenge" yet. So .. you are doing challenge and all your furniture just disappears. oh my gosh. possible this is it. it just dawned on me too. Go to your settings and check " allow back blalba ediiting, lol let me look. BLACK space decorating and black space walking. .. check this to turn it on. I suppose you can try to do it in a normal home and then allow for "ALL HOMES" this possible might be the problem of why the items are falling back into inventory and wont stick. click on room name. or the tab next to room name the level bar of room and in that is has to check to allow black space decorating. see if this might help.

People do have the right to complain when something doesn't work right or something goes terribly wrong, like them taking away items that have been in my inventory for years.. then they say that I "must" have sold them. REALLY? Why is it always the most expensive items? I NEVER SELL THOSE. They are the ones in the wrong, not us, when there's a problem. It's not TELLING them what to do. It's asking them to fix a problem, whatever that is. They simply ignore all of it.
