I am trying to gift something someone posted on a wish list. However I can not figure out how to get to her house to gift her. There is a link but it tries to connect directly to the Facebook link that we used before they had us download the app on our computers. How can I gift her? She is not a friend, just someone from forums.

Unfortunately, home links are broken at this time. Hopefully they will be fixed when we get settled into the HTML5 version of the game. Here's what I know so far about gifting/home links:
If you can find her message in a friend's inbox, you can follow it to reach her home OR if you both have a common friend, you can ask that person to help you reach her home.
Another way is to coordinate with her on forums and make an event to meet her (If you want to gift her without her knowing, this may not be the best way).
