I'm currently playing the FB version on a Chromebook so I would think the FB version should run directly in the Safari Browser without problems.
Login to Facebook, then https://apps.facebook.com/playyoworld/

You won't have access to the new features on the new version such as the dance podiums, etc. but can do pretty much everything else.

Yes, a lot of players use IPAD! Should be able to use FB version to play on it. Just make sure you're on a good browser for it.
