Since this month, we've had an eclectic collection of themes and items... I decided to create a simple Summer hangout for my friends and I to enjoy and wanted to share the results here.
Welcome to Summerton Seaside
As you can see...I've re-faced the Bali coin home into a Summer retreat. I wanted to use the stairs and deck as a starting point to a colourful and creative summer fun spot!
Across from the porch area, there is an arrow leading to Summerton Harbour.
The Harbour is designed on top of an empty ocean avenue and built from scratch. This was a bit of fun to do using the CS2015 patio furniture and the inflated boat. Great place to have a drink and a swim. Just not too much drink!
Now... let's head inside....There are only 2 rooms in this summer home.
This is the Summerton Lounge (kitchen and sitting area)...
I combined the CS2015 Kitchen with the Jubilee Bedroom sitting furniture to create a new atmosphere.
Now...let's head into the Summerton Bedroom/Bathroom.
This room was a lot of fun to put together. Again, I used CS2015 funiture. My hubby liked it so much he did his own version for the Events.
Colour me flattered!
And YES...it's an opened bathroom...but there is a cover wall around the toilet!
So...we head outside to the back yard... to the Summerton Outdoors!
As you can see the back yard is a barbecue/pizza party area. Just outside the fence I finally created a park using the items I collected over time. Just behind the swing...there is an arrow to another Beach Cottage area with Beach access...but that's for another day.
But.... we have one final stop on our Summerton tour...the Summerton Artist Cottage (Studio and Gallery).
This is the coined Chic home made into an artist's studio. I love this little place. It was fun to give it new life and made easier by my desire to use the Art Nouveau and Vintage items.
Here is the Studio...
Originally, I wanted to use the Jubilee Vintage sofas in this space...but the colours didn't work with the wall setup. So I put together a bit of plum madness for seating instead. It comes ready for creativity...with a functioning easel and fainting lounge for your model...as well as that amazing working pottery station.
In reality, as a hobby for now... I create art and write (poetry, short stories, novels). My dream is to have a space like this in the back yard of my final home...just to be creative in! That dream shall be! Here's to the future!
Lastly...here is the gallery...
I have always loved the idea of creating an art Gallery in Yo...but wanted to do so on a small scale where I change out the art work from time to time.
So, that's how the cottage came to be. I used the Art Nouveau seating and fire place in this room. I love the rich red wood and yellow seating! It makes for a nice place to take in the art!
And this concludes my Summerton Seaside image tour. My apologies for the images being a little distorted. Hope you enjoyed the visit!
